HOT TAKE: if a team has 5 consecutive losing seasons, ownership should be forced to sell.

Y’all talmbout the Dodgers ruining baseball? Nah. The Dodgers are saving baseball. We do however need to take a hard look at a team that’s actually ruining baseball in LA: The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, who have just finished their TENTH CONSECUTIVE LOSING SEASON.
A team that has had two all-time greats Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani playing together has not had a single winning season since 2015! You telling me the Dodgers are ruining baseball by tryna win, but the Angels wasting not one but TWO generational talents by not building a competitive team around them are not? Don’t play with me.
The Active Consecutive Losing Seasons Standings are as follows:
1. Angels - 10
2. Rockies and Pirates (tie) - 7
4. Natinals - 6
5. A’s and White Sox (tie) - 3
What do all these teams have in common? Inept ownership that won’t spend. These are some proud franchises with great history that refuse to invest. Of course their beloved homegrown superstars get pissed off and want out. You think athletes like losing? And then you want to hate the Yankees or Dodgers for paying them to play on a competitive team? Miss me with that.
Baseball needs a salary floor, no cap. (That’s a double entendre for the intellectuals of tMSB
)
Congrats again to America’s Dodgers on a second consecutive World Series!

How very anti-capitalist of you.

Coming from the socialist that probably wants a salary cap.

I can't take seriously anyone who uses the term "talmbout".

Wild that the last time they had a winning record, they snatched a World Series from the Astros.

Relegation and promotion would be a better alternative.

The sad reality is that many professional sports owners don't own the team out of love of the game or pursuit of championships. Owning a sports franchise in this day and age is primarily a business venture. The actual number of owners who put winning above profits is very small.

HOT TAKE: if a poster starts 5 consecutive shitty threads in row, they should be permanently banned

Why would you want yourself to be permanently banned?

Jerry owning cats per par. But I cannot agree with you; I am American to the hilt (was not born here, but am a citizen), but I HATE HATE HATE the Dodgers. Cannot wait for Captain America to continue the trend of American Domination in the WBC!

Listen and listen good.
You are a New York Yankees fan. The Dodgers are your most Hated Rival. Not the Red Sox - the Dodgers are your most hated rival. THIS GOES BACK TO THE DAWN OF TIME when the Yankees and Dodgers faced each other in the World Series so many times between 1900 and 1957. You can't rewrite or ignore Baseball History and Tradition. Only a Communist would even try.
If you can't get that through your head, then turn in your Bonafide Yankee Fan Card.
Oh, and, Congratulations to Donny Baseball for finally getting a Ring. He'll be sporting his AL Champs ring with pride. I hope they make rings for the League Champs. I think they do.

The Angels spend enough to be better than they’ve been by a lot.

Fans have such a warped perspective on the business of sports. Players, coaches, owners, etc., don’t think like fricking fanboys. People buy businesses to *gasp* make money, and players (including college players) want what they can get because loyalty to State U. isn’t going to pay the mortgage in ten years.

Angels spent over $200 mil on salaries to put them at 11th most, that’s over double the white Sox, Athletics, and marlins.

The Saints would have been moved before the dome was completed
Posted on 11/3/25 at 7:42 am to JerryTheKingBawler
lol! As if ownership has anything to do with winning

You're an idiot. Or a socialist. Or both.
