In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Bessent said that the administration would not appeal the court ruling, while adding that finding the funds to pay SNAP benefits by Wednesday “could be” done.

“There’s a process that has to be followed. So, we’ve got to figure out what the process is,” the Treasury secretary said.

Trump doesn't want SNAP cut off... he's not into arm twisting the citizenry like the democrats are.

They need to get it done and take the fl credit because it’s an easy market for the democrats to run on for November elections

Imagine-
Commercial after commercial of Pictures of starving women, children and babies juxtaposed against trump building a 300,000,000 ballroom….

The statement says that it will be restarted as soon as they figure out how. This was Trump’s response to the judge as well. To show me how, because there are no laws on the books to do it. The repubs tried to fund a bill that would only fund snap. Guess who voted it down. Just like the multiple bills that the repubs brought up to continue paying the military, which again were voted down by the demoRats.

The response from the current administration is you show me how and I will do it.

WTF

It is not a surprise that Bessent said this, multiple judges ruled that Trump has to restart payments with the contingency funds.

When the judges show the administration how to do it. The administration will do it.

I hope this is false. That's something that needs to permanently go away.

...that is until it's re written into law / appropriations as a loan.

How would that work for disabled, elderly or children?

The system does need an overhaul, but there are some in need that will never have the ability to pay back.

Restore benefits with the idea reform is coming in 2026. If anything the shutdown has shown just how badly the system is being abused

A black guy in his late 20's that used to work for me (decent guy, decent worker...)had a bad background but seemed to be trying to turn it around... moved to Iowa from Chicago. One day we went to the grocery store to buy some stuff because we were having a work morale grill out on a friday night. We goto checkout and when I payed with my debit card he got this confused look on his face and asked me why I paid with my working money instead of my EBT card, I explained to him that I make to much money to qualify for those benefits and always have... he told me that everyone and anyone he knew growing up in Chicago had an EBT card or food stamps... he actually thought the Government gave them to everyone. He worked with us a few more months and quit showing up... maybe he didn't want to lose his welfare because we made decent money...

DEMs sure love to idolize their elect, even when they treat them like shite (communism, socialism, whatever).

Will last about 2 weeks. Dems will still want to ruin America two weeks from now.
