Desmond Howard made it clear that a destination with no AD or President you can trust is..

I personally would never take a job in which I have no clue who my direct boss would be. Doesn’t mean it can be a great job, I just wouldn’t do it and I imagine there are others who wouldn’t either.

They are going to hire a president and ad before they hire a coach.

That’s not a poor take.

The take is true today November 1st.

No one is making a hire November 1

Is he wrong??

If this was any other school besides LSU we would all be sitting here laughing out asses off at how incompetent they were.

No reactionary comments from the media in response to the things that have occurred this week will change the fact that LSU is a top job in the country. LSU will soon have a president and shortly after that have an AD. This week will be forgotten by the end of November. Nothing that they say now will change the fact that LSU is going to do what it takes to find a consistent winner. Hopefully our next hire is that guy.

He’s not wrong per se.

My issue with that segment is none of them were being honest in why we moved on from BK. They chalked it all up to “emotional” fan bases and money people.

That’s bullshite. We had multiple sources and players say Kelly wasn’t working and was phoning it in for 4 seasons. That’s inept and unacceptable. We do not have to tolerate that.

Woodward additionally hired this person and will fall on that sword due to his insane contract.

We can and will have a great team and coach at LSU and I for one cannot wait to make these people on Gameday look stupid when we are back.

That’s not badmouthing, it’s truth. I’m amazed at how many of you don’t realize how bad the optics are on LSU after Landry went full clown

He’s right.

But things change.

Emmert and Saban were both hired in the same year.

yep. not sure why anyone with options would.

The number one thing about college athletics is when a new AD is hired the football coach is on the hot seat because the AD is gonna wanna bring in his own guy.

you don't start a coaching search before you have your AD.

Landry fricked this up running off Woodward

most coaches don’t think that way, they’re less business oriented and more ego driven, I doubt a lot of big time college coaches think they even have a boss

Maybe you’re right, but that’s not what they said at the press conference yesterday.

When there are other jobs offering me the same or something similar? No. I would choose a place in which I know who I am reporting to. And it likely wouldn’t be a place where the CEO has a history of publicly bad mouthing employees.

There’s others in the media making hay on the Little Landry blunder.
Chris Doering of SEC network, and others tied to Arkansas and UCLA have jumped on it

It looks bad now but it’s 4 weeks until the reg season ends and then playoffs, so most of our targets will be in the playoffs.
