When Kiffin signs his extension with Ole Miss will people accept that it was always going to happen or will they blame Landry and the AD situation?

Ole Miss isn't going to let Kiffin get away. They will make him the highest paid coach in the country if necessary. It will actually be the cheapest option for them long term. Why take a chance on a new coach when they already have the hottest coach available at Ole Miss.

The fools here will blame Landry though.

For Kiffin it may not come down to dollars between OM and LSU.

If he wants to stay at a program with great resources, OM fits the bill. But if he wants to be at a program with elite pedigree and resources, it’s LSU no doubt.

Our fans would crucify Kiffin for his dumb in game decisions and losing to shitty teams he shouldn't.

He'd win a lot, but he'd piss our fanbase off so much. He's very inconsistent and doesn't seem to focus on defense, at all.

There are multiple teams going to be willing to make him the highest paid coach. It will come down to what Lane wants to do. I highly doubt he is going to let a blowhard politician change his mind.

I predict Lane stays put. Ole Miss will pay him same as other programs, less pressure, and he's King of Oxford at this point. And they've committed to NIL.

Lane has said multiple times that he won't make decisions based on money. It's not what motivates him. So, if he wants to leave and feels strongly about it, Ole Miss won't be able to persuade him to stay with money, and that works the other way as well. Meaning, someone can't just throw a bunch of money at him and make up his mind. This isn't the first time he's said that; he also mentioned it in a press conference before this.

Lane has no reason to move his family from Oxford

Landry is to blame for the shite show he caused because he’s a moron with a napoleon complex. He chose to air publicly what he could have kept quiet and got the same results.
If Kiffin signs an extension it’s because he wants to be in Oxford probably as the highest paid coach in the country. He’s never come close to winning anything to earn that contract. Let them overpay for a 3, 4 loss per year coach.

That depends on what his motivations are. If he feels like he could win multiple NCs at LSU and not Ole Miss, then he might want to do that. If he really loves it there, money will not dislodge him, which is the point of my linking that video. Money isn't going to be the motivator for him, obviously, so it comes down to other factors, which are both good and bad for anyone pursuing him.

Id rather a coach with balls than BK that throws it short of the sticks every fricking 3rd down. Only to kick a field goal and not go for it while you're getting your arse kicked.

LSU fans will hate, at any given moment in time, at least a dozen things about LSU athletics with burning rage.

It’s built in at this point.

and he has complete control over there. He has final say over football expenditures and capital improvements. The Pres and AD work for Lane. He's not getting that at LSU or UF.
