It would appear that LSU is hiring a new AD very quickly

And it appears to be Georgia's Josh Brooks.
Multiple people have indicated that this was the target, and a chartered Jet flew from Athens to Hammond today, with Hammond being Brooks' hometown. I'm not normally into the flight tracker, but this seems too specific and obvious.
If Brooks is willing to leave UGA and come here, even being an LSU grad, that would indicate to me that candidates aren't as scared of this job as sportswriters have indicated

That would be absolutely massive if true.

Schumann coming too? He may be a few years away from a shot at HC job in the SEC

Georgia fan and alum here; I'm putting that out there so my bias is known. The only reason why he would take the LSU AD position is because of some love for LSU, Louisiana, or to be closer to family. I don't see anyone taking LSU's AD position until a university president is named. Why would you want to work at a place where you don't know who your boss is going to be if not for the reasons I listed?
He might end up being the AD, but I don't see that happening until a university president is named. If he does end up at LSU, you guys grabbed a great one. Objectively, I think he is a Top 3 or Top 4 AD in the SEC. He is a great fundraiser, has done a great job with facility upgrades, has navigated the portal/NIL era very well, and hasn't had a bad hire for a sport anyone cares about. I specifically like what he has done for baseball and MBB. Football is Kirby's show and kind of self sustaining.
Anyways, if it happens, it happens, but the rational part of my mind doesn't see anyone taking the LSU AD position until a university president is named, and that guy will be making the hire.
Good luck baws, and thanks for the absolute shitshow that yall are giving the rest of the conference to watch.

Well buddy hate to tell you a president has been named behind the scenes and this show is running full steam ahead. Also glad to see you could NEVER see anything good for lsu but you’re on our coaches changes board at 3 am. The name I’m hearing for AD isn’t Josh but to think a team that’s 2-10 against bama and lsu the last 5-6 years really shouldnt be pounding his chest how good they are. You were gifted 10 wins every season playing in the east and with GT’s decline till recently. You got lucky and beat bama when two of their WRs tore their ACL’s 3 weeks after putting up 400 yards on your defense by themselves. Then you beat a LSU team that started the year with 39 scholarship players. Other than that you’ve had two miracle seasons. UGA is the most overrated team and program in the nation. A ship against TCU hahahahahahahahahaha. So get off your high horse dog.

Landry might have cooked?

Not the name I’m hiring from my “source” and he’s been right every step of the way including that Woodward was 99% fired as of noon Sunday. I’m hearing MCNEESE ad. Josh would be better in my opinion just spreading the info I got.

And they gonna hire McNeese’s football coach also…

Again, if he goes to LSU, I wish him the best and will be happy for him since he and his family will be closer to home. He has done great things in Athens. I have no doubt he'd improve LSU MBB. He has done that at UGA and that task is much harder in Athens than Baton Rouge. It is scary to think of how good LSU baseball would be with Brooks as AD. Your WBB program seems pretty easy to manage; just keep Kim happy. He has seen how to keep football in a success loop.
Since for some reason you took offense to what I posted, if the new FB coach is going to be hired by a committee - which is what your governor has said - can you hold an AD responsible if the new FB coach is unsuccessful?

Would be an obvious homerun.

If we get the McNeese president and the McNeese AD, that will be a bad look

Is he the one that screwed up the gymnastics hires?
This is where things get tricky for an AD. In my mind baseball and WBB are in direct competition with each other for #3 in the sports hierarchy. WBB benefits from MBB facility upgrades so they have that built in advantage. But right now the WBB roster is getting more revenue share than baseball despite a much smaller roster. I think that is backwards. Is UGA doing the same thing?
UGA baseball was a sleeping giant with a ton of room for growth. The facilities and coaching staff at UGA was not good, but the recruiting talent in that region is some of the best in the country. It made sense for him to try to wake that giant. But at LSU there isn't as much room for growth there, so I would expect him to focus more on basketball here unfortunately
