Why do they continue to make this such a big deal?
I can't imagine any other school or state doing all this. Especially publicly. Who is even complaining about it? It doesn't make any sense.

This will release the citizens of Louisiana being on the hook when a couple millionaires decide to sling some cash around to pay the coach off midsession for having a winning record.

Create a problem. Come up with a solution. Landry is gonna have some people really believing they could potentially have an itemized bill show up in the mail for their share of a coaching buyout if he doesn’t come in and rescue them and take care of it.
