Do you think Landry realizes what he has ignited??

If this doesn't work out (i.e. fans don't support the hire or losing records going forward), who is to blame?? Perception will not be kind.
This will follow him around the rest of his life. He has lit himself on fire and will be public enemy #1 and HATED by LSU fans from here on out.

Yes, that's why I don't think he's going to meddle in the actual hire.

This is overly dramatic Sally. The boosters influenced this far more than Landry. Kelly was a failure and Woodward completely screwed up his last 2 football hires. He's left two football programs worse off in his wake.

Eh, is it though? Politicians in the state suck as a whole. Not sure it’s a silver lining whatsoever if it bombs our next hire in one of the few things our state has going for it

It doesn't matter. He has given the appearance of effectively neutering the process, so if the hire is a dud, it will be perceived to be, rightly, on Landry. If it's a home run, it is all going to be forgotten.

Not true, Landry has had it out for Woodward since the election when Woodward aligned himself with Waguespack. The campaign money Landry lost is what this is all about. He’s been waiting for his moment to go after Woodward. Maybe Woodward did need to go but Landry made sure to put on a show to force him out. He can say he’s looking out for LSU’s best interest and the tax payer but this was all political and LSU can potentially suffer because Landry acts like a 12 year old

I thought Woodward and Saban were really tight. As if anyone could convince Saban it would be Woodward.
Perhaps I am wrong. I thought I read Woodward even reached out to Saban during the last hire? Not for the job, but as a friend.

Are you saying he screwed up hiring Coach O? The coach that put together the GOAT college football team? Look I get that O got completely lazy after the Natty and lost the team but damn I will take all that considering he had that one unbelievable season
