Who could potentially be a Republican challenger for Landry? Definitely regret voting for him.

Landry was THE ONLY person in the state to pull this off today
Kelly is gone. Sloan is gone. Woodward will not pick the next coach
LSU does not have a president. Only Landry had the balls and the position to do this. He will win with ease

Not at the rate he’s going.

Yes I’m sure coaches around the country are watching this clown show and dying to come. He is more concerned with camera time than he is LSU I can promise you that.

No one will oppose him in the primary. He will then face a democrat in the general. Cleo Fields aint beating him for governor

Go vote for the democrat then. There’s no more jungle primaries, it’s either vote republican or democrat. Don’t cry when Gary Chambers is the governor

For all the negative comments about him, I do need to give him props for when he was attorney general and pushed back hard against LSU and their insane Covid shot mandates for students.

Landry didn’t pull anything off except self promoting things he wants to talk about. He’s only about himself and his power base… that’s it

So Kelly and Sloan are still on staff? And Woodward isnt leading a coaching search?
Thats your take??
Youre a dumbass

There won't be any serious primary challengers.

I voted for him but I wouldn’t do it again. Between this and Omar the Tiger I’m done I thought Jindal was the worst republican governor we’ve ever had. Landry says hold my beer

I voted for him. I’ll give him credit on pulling in some big economic projects like the Hyundai steel mill and the data centers.
He is his own worst enemy. He attempts to stay in the limelight over really petty issues. I don’t have a problem with getting Scott out of the way but you don’t do it in front of the camera. It’s really a terrible look and a look at me moment. If he really cared about the football program he would work behind the scenes.

There’s still a jungle primary for state elections close primary is only federal so the dangers if you get another republican in the open primary, you go into a runoff with a Democrat with a divided party. I am guessing JBE will run Liz Murril will be great but she will wait another 4 years. Landry has done a lot of good stuff and the state is moving in right direction economically. Troop NOLA has been a great success and he stood up to NOLA trying to get a loan today The problem with him is his tie to trial lawyers although he signed a bunch of bills last
Sessilon that JBE would not ideally Landry goes to DC and we get a better GOP candidate but under Jo corcumstancws would I vote for a DEM

No he wasn’t. Shawn Wilson was never winning a statewide race in Louisiana.

Considering the bridges being burned. I can see Fleming and Miguez running against him. Also Graves could run too.
Seems like a lot of bad blood going on between Landry and other prominent LA Republicans.
Eta: Of course most will kiss the ring since Landry has the money behind him.

You could have been Governor and they would have came here. Elected officials actually have very little to do when businesses move in other that interject themselves in the press conferences.
