Who do you actually see transferring out?

BK was the cancer. He’s been removed.
Not sure why there’d be a mass exodus now except for kids just not knowing who they’re playing for next year.
But curious to see who you all think will hit the portal and why.

If we get a new OL coach you might see some pretty good shakeup there
It's criminal the lack of development with the talent recruited there. We have 1 Olinemen go down (Adams) and pretty much the whole line turns to a disaster because our bookends cant block anything run or pass.
They throw Curne out at LT after watching Chester struggle all the previous game only to give him the hook at some point and go back to Chester who proceeds to grade out at an astonishing 27.3 for the A&M game with 10 pass block snaps allowing FIVE pressures including 3 hurries, 1 hit and a sack.
Brad Davis is beyond clueless

I don't see any point in speculating on this.

Hard to predict, but I wouldn't expect a mass exodus as long as we're ready to counter whatever's offered to our guys. They are probably already getting offers to jump ship. Hopefully the NIL fund and Money Man are ready for that.

Huh???? I think it is exactly the opposite. I think a new OL coach would encourage the OL guys to STAY, not leave. Surely, they know they are being dumped on by the media, fans, etc and KNOW that they are not being developed.
I don't think it is a lack of talent but a lack of coaching. And of course the entire OL was NOT a disaster. Grades for Moore were VERY GOOD but he was developed at Va Tech. To be fair, you probably were talking about the HS guys. Thompson graded out decently but I thought he was better at Northwestern in the Big 10.
Your edited post was better as you put the blame on Davis.

I see a lot of people threatening to transfer out to jack up their NIL money.

Literally no one on here knows because we have no clue who the coach will be and no clue as to the real reason why most of these players are at LSU in the first place.

Impossible to say right now. Will depend on the hires both as HC and position.
A lot of open positions next year. Some will leave, but there will be several that will want to come in, potentially including players of a coach from another school.

I don't think you see much movement until the new coach is in place. To LSU's credit, they removed the cancer early enough for Frank to heal the wound and keep the program from drowning. That was the mistake with O that left 40 something scholarship players on the roster when BK came in.

Depending on who you bring in as coach and how these next 4 weeks go... I think the potential to keep all your big name guys is still high.
You will lose some guys because every team will lose guys... My hope is that the only ones we lose are guys that realize they arent cut out for SEC ball and go to places like ULL and Troy.
Players and recruits should be excited for what's to come

Any OL coach coming in encouraging Chester to stay should immediately be shown the revolving door out. There are some guys you can argue maybe arent being developed, but a 3rd year guy who seemingly is at his worst aint it. He just isnt SEC maybe even D1 material but we seemingly keep thinking hes our answer for a ton of questions.
Weston Davis is in year 2 and I have more empathy for. Tyree Adams looked like a solid player with good development could be something pretty good. Thompson has been a massive disappointment from the portal.
In the end I can just see some real shakeup there, but whoever the guy is, they need to be real with DJ Chester and let him know his best playing time ahead is at a lower level at this point because it shouldnt be at LSU, ever again.
In the end, the amount of toughening up that unit needs is IMMENSE. They have turned into a bunch of soft pussies and I wouldnt hesitate to tell them that if I was the new coach coming in. They need a massive kick in the pants with how soft they play.

Is that what we’re all running with? Not so sure about that being 100% fact.
He wasn’t perfect but let’s not kid ourselves. It could have been absolutely worse from 2022-2025. Time to move on. Thank you Kelly for stabilizing the program after O ran it off the tracks.

I think it's going to depend on who we hire and when we hire them.

Chester's years at LSU are very misleading. The guy has spent most of his career at LSU at CENTER. He never ever should have been a center and only LSU's desperation put him there. That was a complete waste of his time and LSU's. Weston Davis is in year 2 but how much PT did he get in year 1....very little since LSU had established players in front of him, most of which were drafted into the NFL.
You and I agree on Thompson. In 2 years of starting almost every game at NW, he only gave up 2 sacks split evenly between OG and OT. He did grade out higher (81) as a pass blocker than he did as a run blocker (73) at NW. Chester should be allowed to LEARN from a REAL OL coach at a position...NOT center BTW. But he was the guy who they wanted as a "swiss army knife" type and his blade wasn't sharp enough.
I would keep him on scholarship and see if he could earn a starting role. I do agree that the OL seemed soft to be kind but I'm guessing their technique was crap!
