Be it the OL or Nuss himself, it all starts at the top.

You can't predict injury. The oline is really bad, and the scheme doesn't really account for the time he needed to complete certain routes.

Once you start getting hit it changes your pocket presence.

Yes - with Sloan having a heavy hand.

IF reports are true about Nuss's lack of work ethic in the offseason then he has nowhere to look but in the mirror.

If the kid truly busted his arse and did everything he could to work on his game then sure blame everyone else that you mentioned.

Nuss should have sat early in the season to either heal or recalibrate. It was clear he was struggling whether it was injury, mental, scheme, OL or a combo of all.

Was he a big part, yep, however Nuss didn't do what he needed in the off-season either. You saw Jayden Daniels and Joe Burrow practice relentlessly with their receivers in the off-season. Nuss never used the VR system until the bye week.

Nuss's inability to escape the pocket and make some hay running, killed us as well. LSU had a real chance to beat Ole Miss.

However, in hindsight, losing to Vandy by 7 and getting blown out by TAMU likely wouldn't have gotten Kelly fired. He probably would have if we got skull dragged vs Bama, so it is likely moot anyway.

Yes.

Nuss has deficiencies but not to the point he went from being able to throw for 4k to struggling with easy passes.

Then why did it take Daniels three games into the season to begin playing up to standard.

Burrow had Chase, Jefferson, Marshall and Moss

Daniels also had Thomas, Nabers, Boutte, Taylor, all NFL starters.

Compare that to the current Receivers.

Nuss had 4 Million NIL reasons to mail it in over the summer, and if reports are true about all the rules in his contract for pulling him from any game....well, that just gives him even less incentive to give his best in his Senior year.

BK and Sloan have absolutely tanked this young man's career at this point and more than likely cost him millions in the draft. He was a Heisman front runner for a reason. The skill set, based on every "expert" analysis is there and they almost unanimously saw Nuss as 1st rounder. The inability to scheme around or resolve deficiencies lies at the feet of the HC and Coordinator.

More like Nuss got CBK fired.

CBK stubbornness to stick with Nuss cost him. I bet you he regrets having to stick with him since he didn't recruit him.

Nuss did it to himself. He should have trained harder. Kelly was not the one out there stinking it up. Yes he was not a fit here but Nuss did this to himself.

I believe so

The change in play is on the coach

Have you looked at his physical attributes compared to other QBs? Do you see any muscles anywhere?

How is it the coaches fault if Nuss couldn't even complete a simple pass with accuracy?

The only thing the coaches did wrong was not parking his arse on the bench

This is what I think.

BK allowed Nuss to tank this season which ended up getting him fired. If he'd have been willing to at least try putting someone else in at QB he most likely would still be here

Nussmeier isn't that good. His mechanics are awful, and as much as I despised Kelly, I honestly believe Nussmeier did him no favors
