I will preface this by saying there is less than a 1% chance Nick Saban will ever come back to LSU. BUT I think it’s a lot more likely than the people who swore BK wouldn’t get fired would have you believe.

1. LSU is in win now position
The only thing missing is competent coaching. The athletes are in place, the fan base is frothing at the mouth at how close we are, & most important, the admin, donors and state fricking government are all in.

2. Woodward is the only one who can pull it off
The relationship speaks for itself. Woody is hot water, but I’ll be honest I didn’t realize that he wasn’t the one who extended Jimbo and he is being somewhat improperly framed for that. He should be ridiculed for BK’s contract, but also had the balls to ditch him when he had to.

And the most important to me by far..
3. Saban didn’t go out with a championship
Everybody knows good and damn well it sits in the back of his mind that he didn’t win his last game as a coach. Putting him in position to run out with at least one more on a 3 year deal may seem more appealing than people think.

Again, I don’t believe he will return to this era of college football when he’s getting millions to talk about it on TV for 3 hours a week. That being said, much stranger things have happened, and it’s fun to dream.

It's not going to be anyone most people have ever heard of.

Wrong Board! This would do better on the desperate thirst for days gone by board. The Saban era is over. Can we move past this. He was great but he is done.

Biggest reason it won't:

The f'n governor

Saban ENDED the good ol boy network and created a juggernaut because of it.

The network isn't gonna cut its own head off and saban won't accept their influence if he comes back, regardless of the money offer

Saban would have had to have lost his mind. Why in God's name would he come back and risk damaging his legacy by trying to salvage the remainder of the 25 season?

he would get a pass on that, just like a relief pitcher coming in with the bases loaded and two outs, he gives up a triple, strikes out the next batter and is out of the inning, he's not charged with those runs

What about the roster next season tells you this? It will be a complete overhaul

The only thing I would have bet on Saban doing was returning to the NFL as he didn’t win there and figured his ego would get him. I would have lost.

He’s not coming back for many of reasons. But the most is his role and dynasty with bama. It’s not happening.

This is so overestimated. The man reached the pinnacle of his sport multiple times and hasn’t had anything left to prove for a long time now. No, everyone doesn’t know this. Because it’s ridiculous.
