Kelly didn't work out here. He didn't try. He worked on LSU football the least amount of hours possible. He had Frank running all the day to day operations. He didn't even know exactly who they were recruiting. My goodness. This was a disaster. And it seems like a lot of people in the Ops building knew this. He used LSU for money. He had no intentions of grinding it out to produce a Championship team here. Total disaster. Terrible hire. I know that was the best we thought we could get at the time. But for the massive payout, he should have been kicked in the A$$ and shown the door after the second season. I have lost all respect for BK. I consider him to be a joke of a coach. I still like Ed and Les even though they are not great football minds. Kelly is an utter disgrace. Good riddance!

The more I think about it, the more I feel like he didn't know what the gameplan was in-depth for the games.

He left ALL prep to the staff and performed minimal oversight. He waited until something bad happened to make any critiques, and was slow to make any changes in personnel unilaterally.

Any head coach would have made a few wholesale changes after the Florida game, but we just kept on pushing with the same exact plan every week.

Add that to the lack of humanity shown to active players and recruits, as well as what Kyren Lacy's dad posted (regardless of your beliefs on that whole situation), and Kelly comes off as a Grade A, unauthentic, and grifting piece of human trash.

What a shitbag of a head coach.

After year 1, I got a thread whacked after saying BK was a ghost in the ops building. I know its not sexy to spill out rumors. Maybe worth adding a rumors tab up on the top ribbon. But this one started to stink early.

Let's hope for better days ahead! Geaux Tigers.

Spanky Woodford just went for a name and did zero true due diligence about his character.

What’s this in reference to?

I’ll take it a step further and say that he didn’t even really know the playbook or scheme in detail. That’s why he watched helplessly and yelled at Joe Sloan through the headset for 5+ straight games instead of just taking over playcalling duties

At the time I thought it was foolish to hire an old man for the job. He's a year older than I.

Back then I was counting off the days to my retirement. Was I as driven as I was in my 30's, or even 40's? Hell no. I did my job, but that was it. Of course, I've always had high performance ratings, so I wasn't slacking.

I know how demanding a Fortune 100 CEO job is as I've witnessed it first hand. I can only imagine the hours a successful, big time college football coach is required to spend to oversee all the thousands of details involved. 60-80 hours a week. When you reach your 60's, that is so much harder.

Sorry but where are you seeing all of this? I don’t doubt but want to see for myself.
Also who is responsible for oversight of the HC to make sure he is not delegating all of his work to the point he has no oversight of the program he is in charge of?

Kelly shouldn't get a f'ing dimes worth of severance from LSU. Kelly saw how Orgeron delegated everything off to Aranda and Ensminger, won a Natty, then got all of the credit, passed on a plan to his Agent and said. Yeah, we can frick over LSU and make a killing

Sometimes I wonder if there was a disconnect between the position.

Is it possible that Woodward went after him and BK's goal was to actually be more of a consultant, and that wasn't communicated to everyone? Maybe what drew BK away was a conversation where he told Woodward he wasn't going to be involved and it was going to be more of an oversight situation. Woodward, wanting to make sure he got his guy, agreed to it in private?

Or not that exactly, but something like that? Something always felt very off in press conferences. As if BK was not a part of the team. He was always critiquing, never stepping in.

According to Billy Embody, Woodward knew early it was a bad hire.

This is not a great reflection on Woodward.

You don't have to think -- he actually said this after the Ole Miss game. He said he didn't like the gameplan -- which means one of two things...

1. he didn't know what it was going into it and was pissed after the fact

or

2. he knew what it was ahead of time, didn't like it, and still approved it

frick BRIAN KELLY
I can't say that enough. I just hate him. Such a fricking dickhead.

He seemed as just as surprised as we were watching that putrid shite. It was more that's what we are doing then oh this was the plan and it didn't work

You could tell he was like wtf are we doing

Then we need to take his arse to court and not pay him. Fire him for cause.

Literally not a single player, coach, commentator is on his side- so I don’t think this “backfires” are creates an issue hiring the next coach. Expose that little weasel.

Fire Woodard. He's the clown

There was zero information out of his current employer that should have signaled he was a great coach.
And for the live of God, can someone tell me why the frick you would give a pos guy like this some sort of guaranteed money?

1000000% were better off with Ed O.
