I didn’t watch it all (cuz it’s almost 3 hours) but damn if they didn’t nail Kelly to a tee, and I was mostly skimming thru it. Very insightful.

-They give LSU credit for making the move (something they express their admin waited 5 years too long to do).
-They mention his toxic relationship with ND & LSU staff/coaches and particularly, ex-ND Elko finally getting revenge .
-They mention if we knew what they knew about what went down between Kelly & Elko, we would be surprised Elko wasn’t passing & trying to score under 2 mins
-They mention his losing-a-game body-language “tell” of crossed-arms when he knows he’s lost the game.
-They mention how he barred ex-ND players from the team & program. (They didn’t mention or know he did the same thing at LSU)

Later, they go over prospective HC’s for LSU and what’s next for Kelly. The majority I saw of it is dissecting Kelly’s faults and they feel vindicated that LSU finally realized the same things and Kelly got what he deserved.

Notre Dame’s fanbase’s obsession with LSU was a pride thing. They couldn’t handle the fact that a “lowly state school” in the South “stole” their coach.

I find it funny how (online) LSU and ND fans are BFFs now.

United by their mutual hatred of Brian Kelly.

I mean if a team took our coach and then failed we would definitely be talking shite also.

Not if we “upgraded” coaches as their fans claimed. I personally wouldn’t care at that point. Anyway, this entire saga is over so hopefully the ND fans will move on to other hobbies instead of trolling LSU fans about Brian Kelly.

“ Notre Dame’s fanbase’s obsession with LSU was a pride thing. T”

And we would’ve done the exact same thing if the shoe had been on the other foot.

I rooted for Les Miles to win at Kansas and Will Wade to have success at McNeese. The trolling from ND fans was totally different IMO. It definitely was this sense of arrogance and pride that LSU would dare to hire away their coach.

I don’t disagree with their assessments of Kelly but Preston Guy has no idea of the financial backing of LSU.

According to them, they say they weren't sad LSU took Kelly off their hands (they wished their admin had fired him 5 years before)...

...but to your point, they admit they were butt-hurt about the national narrative of "not being able to win at ND" (and point out that Freeman has a better record than Kelly) and not having fine facilities (and mention some expensive renovations) and not having top donors/NIL support (and mention some rich guys).

In general almost everybody was happy he left. And most were ready to move on. Brian took swipes at Notre Dame and that never settled well with the fan base. Notre Dame fans witness everything that you’ve experienced except over a course of 12 years. You guys moved on a lot quicker and that is really good for you. I never disliked LSU, it always centered around Brian. He was an arse.

Brian burnt so many bridges at Notre Dame. He had an opportunity to leave and just be a decent human, but that is a struggle for him.

What was the reason he would do this?

Honestly, if I had been listening to that video on a podcast, I could've have been fooled thinking it was LSU fans dissecting Kelly.

That's actually not it at all. They couldn't believe we wanted him and were happy to see him go. I remember lots of them warning us about what to expect, which at the time, we took to be sour grapes. Turns out they were spot on.

What was the reason he did it here at LSU? Fehoko recently mentioned how he & others were prohibited from the LSU facilities but no reason was given that I recall. The ND guys didn't give a reason either, but just mentioned the fact.

It's all speculation but maybe Kelly just doesn't have an embracing trait of all things LSU/ND and/or is just a control freak. (???)

Wade and Miles were fired though by LSU before they landed elsewhere. Not the same as another school poaching away your sitting coach.

Think of how LSU fans would have acted towards R-Kansas if Miles would have taken that job in 2012 when they tried to get him.
