But the Saints currently have the #1 pick in next year's draft if the season ended today.

Trade it and collect capital for future years. This years draft is bad

If the draft is bad, then why would teams be willing to trade up? Demand doesn't seem like it will be that high, and the compensation might not be as good right?

I never said the haul would be as good as other seasons but whatever we’d get would probably help more than keeping the pick

If no one really separates themselves as a genuine #1 QB this season, trading back to get multiple picks is definitely the way to go. Let's face facts, we need help everywhere.

I think the QB class is better than last years. Outside of Ward, who came on late, no one else had a 1st round grade.

Loomis is already trying to trade next year's first in order to move up....might add a third to help seal the deal.
