Do we really want boosters running the coaching search?

I understand the disdain for Woody after this debacle. Maybe an outside firm? It just seems like we’ve seen booster-led searches turn into shite shows at UF and UT

Yes, I trust them more than Woody

Boosters screwed Texas for years leveraging their power.

Yes boosters are the only way to have a search

Absolutely not they are not qualified.

Honestly, a panel of CEOs and business people making this decision may not be bad compared to Woodward.
SW just throws other people’s money around.

Yea they actually run functional businesses in the real world with consequences for their decisions. Not hire two coaches and cost two universities over 100 mil combined

They're paying for the coach and now players. Really have no choice but to allow their input.

Keep Collis Temple as far away from this as possible!

It did work for A&M after Bjork tried to hire Mark Stoops to a BK contract

No. That would be a disaster.
It’s basically letting fans with money decide the future of the program.
That’s how you end up hiring someone like Gruden.

If the alternative is a bunch of dudes with money who have no experience in these types of decisions, then yeah I’d rather have Woody. He did hire CKM and CJJ.

I trust them more than Woody, it is their money anyway.

Well, apparently UNC boosters drove the Belichick hire.
Well, hell. That would be the most Louisiana hire ever. Another old fart coach with their 14 yo girlfriend. Would be entertaining at least.

Yes, UNC football boosters were involved in the Bill Belichick hire, reportedly pushing for him to be hired over the athletic director's initial preference for an established college coach. Booster support was crucial for the hiring to move forward, especially since they were expected to help fund the lucrative contract and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals.

This happened at UT before and was a disaster. I think boosters were the Herman hire
