Remains to be seen what that accomplished. But from what I can gather is Sloan likely gone this evening.

Right now as it stands, Kelly is getting another year unless he loses to Arkansas at home.

Very thin leash.

Well let’s pray we lose to Arkansas which isn’t far fetched. If we keep Nuss in good chances we will.

We’re not a serious program. Pretenders in every sense of the word.

Why does Arkansas specifically matter?

That’s loser thinking. We can accept if he loses to good teams (Bama/OU), but not a crap team. So apparently we think it’s ok to lose to good teams consistently.

He should be gone now, but if it’s another loss that gets him out, it should be a loss to anyone.

Arkansas can score. I don't think we can keep up with them and we'll have mailed it in after Bama kicks the shite out of us.

Boosters kicking the can down the road. I'm sure that'll work out well...

Does the buy out drop in January? If so Search now and fire him later. We can put an agreement in place with another coach before we let dipshit go.

Very good points. I have heard personally that LSU has the money to fire Brian Kelly now. However, they risk blowing up the entire recruiting class and future collective for upcoming transfers and recruits. You can afford to miss once on a coach, but you can’t afford to miss twice. Which LSU is heavily discussing.

we really learn nothing from schools like Florida or even from our own past that this is always a dumb idea

The ceiling is still 8-4. If we lose to Bama and OU that's 5 losses. Do we really care if we beat Arkansas at that point?

If that’s the case, don’t let Fat Scott anywhere around it. Hell, ask Skip to help you. He hired Saban, Miles, etc.

If they believe Kelly isn’t the right guy, the longer they wait the longer it will take to get over the hump. If Kelly is perceived as a lame duck, and recruits know this, then we’ll lose recruits anyway. And recruits that matter because they play for something other than money.

skip didn’t hire Saban. Skip also told Saban to kick rocks when Saban wanted to come back to college football

So it'll be a Les Miles situation. He will go into next season as a dead man walking. All indications are that next year will be rough, considering all that will be lost.

So he will just enter next year on the hot seat, and end up being kicked to the curb after 1-2 losses. I don't see the point.
