As it should be. There is not a shittey university in Alabama in terms of educating future political leaders. That can't be said for many other states with a faculty that is half communist.

Burgess Owens is a congressman from Utah that played in the NFL. He also played for my HS in Tallahassee back in the 60s

There is a better than decent chance that Alabama will have the following:
Governor: Tuberville
Senator: Finebaum
Lt. Gov: McCarron
Do these guys have the credentials to run the state or serve in the Senate? Not really. But Ivey has been propped up for a decade and there are far less qualified Senators than Paul Finebaum. This really is a case of “It could be much worse.”
