and it was one of the worst super bowl games of all-time allegedly. I still haven't seen a single play from the game so I don't really know.

Saints and Patriots knew how to work each others defenses, as it was a primetime matchup a couple of times already. It would have been a high scoring offensive masterclass. Instead LA gave us a field goal.

Of course that game was rigged. NFL needed to affirm their moving of 2 teams to LA by having one if not both make it to the Bowl.
I finally was convinced the league was rigged when the Chargers and Chiefs played on Thursday night mid season. Final drive of the game, 13 seconds left, 3rd and goal at the 10: Rivers drops back to pass, and it is incomplete, then BAM yellow flags at the point of the incompletion. Replay shows Williams CLEARLY put his hands on the defender's (Fuller) chest, fully extend and create massive separation. Fuller fell backwards out of the back of the endzone. What did the refs call? DPI. The announcers were stunned. Next play, TD to win the game
I immediately texted my buddy, who for years has called it the National Fixed League, and I said, "OK, you have been right all this time. The league is fixed."
Here's the final play by play
Then the Rams bullshite happened, and I have been done with the NFL ever since. They have not received a dime from me; I even gave up my season tickets. I will watch Saints and Steelers when they are on, and that's the extent of my NFL commitment.

You can argue it went from being the likely highest viewed SB in history (Brees vs Brady) to being factually the lowest rated for viewership & enjoyment. In our lifetimes, it had to be the most egregious non-call in the history of NFL conference championship games with so much on the line.

I believe they have a off the books star chamber to handle difficult issues. Roger would be kept out. So when he says it’s a fair non rigged league he believes it.

I was guilty of actually watching that super bowl
I tuned in not so much to root for the Patriots but with just the hopes that the Rams weren't going to win it!.
And even though that's exactly what happened and they lost, it really didn't make me feel any better. It was not an enjoyable game to watch by any means.

The no call is how you can convince me games are rigged way more than players purposefully losing. Donaghy described it perfectly 15+ years ago about how they can influence games in the NBA by calls they make or don’t make. A ref sees a run is about to be broken for a big gain for the wrong team and they throw a ticky tack holding, or like in this game just not call the most clear PI you will ever see.
Guys like Rozier or the dude from the Raptors betting their unders and checking out early for "injuries" happens to win prop bets makes sense, but actual wins and losses are a lot harder to control as a solo guy. Football is a little more insulated as well. A QB can purposefully throw an interception, but the other team still has to go and score points, so unless the whole defense is in on it too not so simple.
