Lest some miraculous and unforeseen power affect the pernicious religious and political division and violent trajectory in this nation and world, those kids will experience so much of this in the near future that the loving basis of their feelings will be jettisoned for survival’s sake. I hate to think of my Granddaughters living in such a place.
There are so many truly sick and delusional, evil people out there that I see now way to avert a violent confrontation for the sake of civility, survival and prosperity. We can kiss the former Freedoms which we enjoyed good night as an all powerful and relatively unmerciful Authoritarian State is a virtual fait accompli.
The feelings that support such and the logistical infrastructure which enables it are being established right now. And we will cheer and celebrate it if or until it is co-opted and unmercifully turned upon those who created it, for the common good.
The psychological extremes of the joy and beauty of this life, juxtaposed with the horror and pain are unbearable minus some extraordinary power. Pray for the mercy of Jesus and the miraculous “Comfort” of the Holy Spirit, without which life will soon become impossible for those who know and seek Love and life.

I've been saying this, albeit much less eloquently, for a couple years. And getting shite on for saying it out loud because people can't handle hearing that the country they were born into and love deeply, is nearing the death throes of its existence.
The average length of time time that empires have existed without interruption throughout world history, is 250 years. We're at 249.
The powers-that-be cannot allow an amicable separation or balkanization.

Parents: please keep an eye on your kids and stay involved in their lives. No teenager should be out in the sticks at 12:30 am—nothing good can happen at that hour.
The area where this happened, Pinson, has been steadily going downhill since the early 2000s it is now just a step away from Center Point, which I am sure Birmingham people can chime in on. I wouldn’t go out there at 12:30 pm, much less 12:30 am. Side note—sad to see what became of Center Point. It could have been a really nice suburb.
