Where in Lafayette can I get a good fried chicken poboy?

I don't know why, but I've been craving a fried chicken poboy lately. When I was in Baton Rouge, there was a few places where I can get one, but it doesn't seem as easy in Lafayette. I've looked at the most popular places and it's mostly seafood or deli meats with the occasional grilled chicken option here and there. I'm sure I could just ask one of them if they could swap the grilled chicked for fried, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of somewhere who has it on the menu and is "known" for being good. Thanks in advance!

I think they are pretty good. It's usually just fried chicken tenders. I've seen some places use smaller chicken breast filets, but I don't remember where. When I was in the mood for one, I would get the chicken tender poboy from Poboy Express. It wasn't the most authentic poboy, but the portions were huge and I could eat on it for a couple of meals.

I saw that one, but the heat has me nervous lol. I don't mind spicy, but I don't like too spicy.

Go to Kelly's in Opelousas for a fried chicken poboy.

Used to get the Frito's fried chicken from Rocco's. Just spicy fried chicken breast poboy.

Pretty sure they have a Not Hot on the menu too, never ordered it so maybe its less spicy sauce.

Just get a Hot Hot from Pops and ask for the sauce on the side

This. I always do this and then pour a little on with each bite so it’s not overwhelming

Not Louisiana, but I had a Crystal'd Chicken Po Boy at the Po Boy Shop in Decatur, GA and it was very good. Chicken nuggets with Crystal hot sauce, fully dressed with bleu cheese on the side. I would order it again.
Maybe 15 years ago our local Popeyes made a Chicken Po Boy with their spicy chicken. It wasn't bad either, though the service at that place sucked.
