Maybe, just maybe, he really thought that. Turns out though, he was wrong.

All throughout fall camp, when the OL and DL went one-on-one, the OL held their own. When it came to team drills, they got owned.

Maybe Kelly saw that the talent is there and thought it would gel at some point. It obviously hasn't.

He isn't lying about putting OL in the NFL though.

I keep saying this but the Rant insists on parsing his words looking for deep meaning.

The offense sucks and the season is disappointing. Why the need to dig through old interviews to get mad about coach speak?

And would you even want him to say “I have grave concerns about our OL”? Have you ever heard any HC ever publicly say that, esp preseason?

“BK blames players & throws them under the bus”

Also

“BK lies & says his players are good”

Keeping receipts and other bullshite he spouts is not coach-speak. He comes across as phony as a 3 dollar bill.

I mean what was he going to say? This O-Line is going to be hot fricking garbage and I'm so inept at my job that I don't know how to fix it? That's the truth, but why would he say that in public?

He’s a total POS not committed to this level of coaching.

I don't believe this for one second. Anyone who was at practice could see the line struggling in team sessions. In 1-on-1 drills they did average but they struggled all camp and spring during team sessions.

Nah

He was trying to prevent Clemson from knowing how big of a weakness it was.

If it worked it bought the staff a few weeks to continue development.

Many on here told you this was a lie when it happened, but a bunch of people responded with “I’ll trust the guy who makes $10 million a year”

Exactly. The season is disappointing and people are mad. The on-field results are all we need to see. The agonizing about his public statements is baffling.

There is literally nothing BK could say that would satisfy the Rant except “I can’t do the job so I’m stepping down and I’m foregoing my buyout.” And even then people would bitch and call him a lazy quitter

What’s he supposed to say? “Our offensive line is terrible, weak, and soft”?

. Yep might not have been lying. May have really thought that which means he was terribly wrong. Which is probably worse.

Just some nd perspective. All those good lines came from harry heistand as ol coach and he HATED Kelly.

Before kelly left harry had enough and quit...with the same recruits kelly and his hand picked ol coach jeff quinn out together one of the worst ols in nd history.

Kelly does not know ol. Hes benefitted from great ol coaches...at least at nd. Once quinn and kelly were gone.. ol was right back to elite..
