It appears that Glock is bending the knee to Gavin Newsom

Is this a mild political win for Newsom, like with centrists / center leftists who aren’t necessarily for gun confiscation but are for heavier regulation of the product?
Am I right or wrong to have that thought ?

Why would an international company care what the governor of one state in one country says?
Looks like Glock is just going through normal product updates, with new products and discontinuing products.

Why do gun makers even bother with selling to California?

My understanding is the Gen 5 was never legal in California and that’s the reason the Gen 3 continued to exist for so long.

If you watch his interview with Shawn Ryan he makes the case that the gun laws for California makes sense for Californians but acknowledges they might not make sense for Montana. It seems as though the majority of voters of California support his gun control measures.

Voluntarily cutting off 9% of the market doesn't seem wise

I hope Newscum keeps the commie laws coming while we have a majority in the USSC.

You are correct. And neither was gen4 outside of a loophole that was closed several years ago.

Gotcha … I was talking more in terms of his national favorability . Also, I don’t believe much out of any politician’s mouth, but especially his. It does, however, seem like something he could use with the center left.

So let me share this little story with you guys.
LINK
I know this guy very well. He was just a baw walking with his wife and dog and almost got kilt.
Well, the dumbass who shot him "on accident" has a history of pulling guns on people in a threatening manner. And he's an adult who lives with his mom.
Well, after several times of pointing his gun at kids and sometimes their parents, he was never arrested. Yet when he actually shoots someone, now it's a problem. Gun laws in Cali are a joke, but it makes for great PR for the cuck of Harvey Weinstein.

FWIW I orbit the center and pro 2A, but its hard to argue with the data as far how gun laws have positively impacted gun related fatalities in Cali. However I would not want to see it expanded on a Federal level and Newsome has stated many times that he would like to expand some gun bans at the nationally . That does not sit well with me.

Every gun law (including those in California) are unconstitutional. They are all an infringement.
If an individual is too dangerous to be trusted with a firearm, I assume that they have committed crimes to be considered too dangerous, and that individual should be in prison. Where he cannot hurt anyone with a firearm. Or a knife or hatchet or a minivan.

I've got a G21 Gen 5 and honestly I prefer the Gen 3 over the 4 and 5.
This sounds like Glock is just going to release a Gen 6 and stop production of previous generations like they've historically done as long as they've been in business. But I'm sure the Dims will claim it as a huge victory anyway.
