Listening to it, I don't think he has any specific information as much as he is saying we would have some big name interest IF it came open.

Honestly, anyone worth a shite would want to come to LSU, the problem is funding a buyout and another salary plus all of the demands for NIL.

I honestly think this is our chance to get Saban. Woodward and him know each other very well. If we move on from Kelly this year I think it would be a real possibility. If we wait until next year I think Saban may end up elsewhere.

With NIL / collectives… Kiffin would take market pay per year, with minimal buyout just have incentives to max pay per year to secure the job and LSU put more into collective. I personally see this happening at major programs. Slowly see the market shift on these massive buyouts. You can’t have massive buyouts and competitive collectives.

I hope someone at LSU has a long view on this thing.
What we need to do is focus on finding the next 10 year+ head coach that has potential to win championships.. then find out timing and cost and set that up in advance of doing anything with BK.
It's obvious he's not the guy but you CANNOT miss on 2 in a row. Figure out your 2 or 3 most coveted names and take your medicine on the cost and make it happen. Be methodical. No panic and don't let the cost impact the decision.
No one will remember this mess or the cost if we do that and nail the hire.

I can't imagine the pandemonium if Saban were announced. I wanna believe but he's done...I think he just hates NIL and the personalities of these kids these days that are just in it for the money and nothing else.
