We are planning a cruise for 2026 to the bahamas/carribean, it'll be our first time. Any good, non-ghetto, reccomendations for cruise lines?

Royal Caribbean, Oasis Class ship (better value right now over Icon class IMO - Allure is recently refurbed, Harmony, Oasis, etc), out of Ft Lauderdale or Miami.

Pick an eastern caribbean itinerary with stops at St Maarten, St Thomas and Coco Cay. The 8 night sailings on Allure also offer a stop in San Juan Puerto Rico

You can get some great deals on Star right now depending on week. I just got off it on a western one, but seen the same deals on eastern, just couldn't make that timing work. Was priced right there with Oasis class sailings.

I usually hate cruise food including most Royal ships offerings. Star has it down right now with the start up crew. Best food I have had in awhile on a cruise ship. We had lobster for free 4 times last week. First day windjammer lunch with stone crab claws, two dinner nights, and another random windjammer lunch.

Back to the Future was freakin awesome. Hung out with Doc for awhile in Playmakers. Water show was eh, think I prefer Wonder's water show still. Ice skating show is about the same as most ships. The juggler was very meh. The Kre-8 show needed to pick a lane, the kid cartoon robot mixed with the heavy adult song/dance numbers made the show bad.

There’s been a ton of fights on Royal lately too.

I suggest doing your research. Not every line is for everybody. Not every ship in a particular line is for everybody. Picking the right line, ship, & itinerary is key to having a good cruise.

YouTube channels I like:
Cruise with Ben & David
Life Well Cruised
Cruzely
Popular Cruising
La Lido Loca
JimZim

Depends alot on where you wanna go out of and if there are kids going along.

Been researching Virgin lately after trying RC and Carnival.

Do a Disney cruise, kids or no kids.

They have adults only parts of the ship. Food is very good, and you don’t have to deal with race fatigue.

Wife and I went twice, boat tied up in Nassau, both times alongside a Carnival boat. Looking from the balcony it was easy to separate the demographics from each boat when they were going ashore,

Always enjoyed Royal. We've traveled with them a dozen times and its always been top notch. No fights at all.

That’d be Seabourn or Ritz. 450ish passengers, not 3,000.

Been thinking about trying Oceania, where do they fall on the luxury scale?

I really liked Cunard. The Mrs and I went on a Med cruise two years ago on Cunard and it was great. It was mostly older British people. I saw maybe 5 kids on the ship. If you are young this may not be for you. They do Caribbean cruises during certain parts of the year.

I saw someone mention Virgin. We did a Virgin Caribbean cruise 3 years ago. The restaurant scene was different and interesting. If you are down with the LGBT+ stuff then you may like it. It was a little too far over the top for us but we still had a good time. It was very sex centered.

We are going on MSC seascape out of Galveston in January. I've been on Royal and carnival. I prefer carnival over royal (if it's a 7 day). As another user posted check YouTube channels to see what matches your goals and priorities

Just below Seabourn, Regent, Silversea but above celebrity, princess

They supposedly have the food at sea, so if you’re a foodie that could be attractive.
