I totally agree with the record, but I just don’t see how they afford to fire him.

Let me explain: We can’t afford not to fire him.

If we go 6-6 with this roster I don't see how we can afford to keep him.

He knows he is safe. It’d quite the opposite.

We won't lose to Arkansas and we could very well beat A @ M. Y'all act like we lost by 20 to teams that were not ranked and lost at Tiger Stadium.

And, even if you are right about 6 - 6. That is still not enough to fire him. Kelly would still have to agree to a different buyout that is less than 30 million.

You're probably right. But lots of empty seats, crickets and boo-birds will be out in Tiger Stadium.

ETA: Woodward is most likely not sleeping well right now.

LSU can’t and it’s sad to say we don’t have the boosters that some of these larger colleges have to be able to pay that 50 million

I think it's a loss also. Arkansas is a FAR better team than their record indicates. Bad defense, but yesterday showed we don't have the supreme defense most of us thought we had.

You don’t keep a coach that goes 6-6

It doesn’t have to be paid up front in a lump sum. It is paid over the life of the contract with credit for income earned from another job.
