My husband and I are in Austin visiting my son and fiancé who moved here recently for their jobs. It’s a bizarre place. If anyone on this board is familiar with Austin, we are on Manor Road eating Bird Biscuit. I wore my Freedom shirt yesterday, and I am wearing my USA shirt today. I am probably triggering so many libs. Many white liberal women. They are everywhere! Places to eat surrounded by graffiti. Very gentrified, like New Orleans. Other than visiting my son and fiance, I have no desire to come back.

There are nice areas. Zilker park bad the Barton Springs pool. I always liked it there. Mt. Bonnel and Lake Austin are nice. I don't like 6th street.
It's gotten too cowded in last 20 years.

The catfish farmers of America convention is in Austin in February

That should go interestingly when we all get out to have drinks

If the largest catfish farms in the USA are primarily located in Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas why is convention in crappy Austin?

1st time I spent time there, post Katrina in 2005.

Was so nice wanted to move there, but went back to NOLA eventually.

And to see how they’ve destroyed it in 20 years exactly is what liberal/communism does to a great city

I’ve traveled many places & Austin used to be when if the best cities I’d ever spent time in, and they destroyed it

Austin’s always been left bent (since I can remember which goes back a ways now) but in the old days when it was smaller it was more of a quirky, offbeat charm to it.

Now, it’s just the overgrown and angry Progtopolis that you’ll find in most Dem controlled cities.

We might drive thru downtown just to check it out, but will not park and walk around. Our son warned us that it is sketchy and many homeless people, druggies.

These kinds of threads always crack me up when they come from people from New Orleans.

Austin is an incredibly fun place to visit. You’re about 1000 times more likely to be a victim of democrat policies on Bourbon than you are on 6th Street.

Enjoy the food, music, and time with your family.

You need to slow the drinking down as you made 2 different postings, one way more elaborate than the other, on this a hour apart from each

I'm literally shaking from your post.

Unless you are also your husband's husband, or a trans woman married to your husband, that means you are a cis gender couple. Not even a thruple, but a couple.

I talked to my wife's boyfriend whom is a person of color in between his episodes of railing my wife and he said that you do not sound like an ally.

Unless your freedom t shirt is rainbow colored... well I'm sorry I just had to shut down. If it wasn't that would be to triggering to comprehend.

I have pondered your post while working my shift in a highly technical field of engineering. I engineer the perfect coffee for my clients. Thankfully my Starbucks is still open.

Why would you wear a USA shirt unless... it must be rainbow colored! Yes in our united states we love all genders and black lives matter!!!

Yes there are many white women who are woke and support love for everyone and want everyone to live their authentic lives.

Thankfully I see what you did. You are visiting your son and fiance. So you are married and have a fiance! This means you are in a thruple and not is a traditional, racists and misogynistic relationship! Hopefully it's an inclusive thruple. Do you welcome furries in your relationship?

My next door neighbors husband is a furry. He is an ally as well and he is anxious to welcome new open relationships to Austin. If your thruple is dirty friendly I could set up a playdate!

And you have no desire to leave here. Join me queen and we can fight the colonialism institutionalized in the fabric of our existence!

Eta: obviously I am telling here. I tried to go over the top but some people either missed it or didn't appreciate the troll...

Was so nice wanted to move there,

It was too crowded and already sliding in 1998 when I lived there, but you didn't have to live in Georgetown to be able to afford a house like they do now.

I do not understand your liberal gibberish.

I have definitely triggered you with my post.

It’s exactly what I pictured people in a lib city to be like, I was not expecting all the graffiti and gentrification, litter, etc.., though.

Ask if the bats are still under the Congress Avenue Bridge (it's late in their season), dusk is a unique sight.
