Who is Right in the Palestinian/Israeli Struggle? Why Not Both?

The Middle East conflict centers on a struggle between two groups, each with legitimate claims to the same land. Both peoples are deeply tied to the region through historical and cultural roots, and both have suffered trauma from the violence inflicted by the other.

Israel stands out as a remarkable economic and technological success story, as well as one of the few democracies in a region where such systems are rare, though its democratic institutions are showing signs of strain. Within Israel, Palestinian citizens enjoy greater voting rights than many people in neighboring Arab countries, alongside a relatively open press and active civil society organizations that advocate for human rights.

At the same time, Palestinians have a valid claim to establish their own independent state, just as Israel did. However, they have faced significant hardships, including widespread violence and severe restrictions on basic needs like food, which some argue violate international norms, even if considered permissible under the laws of war.

If policy makers admit this, instead of viewing it as “right versus wrong,” then we may actually be able to achieve a solution that promotes lasting peace.

Islam is the problem.
It’s not actually a religion of peace.

Separate issue. It’s been confirmed Israel thought it was an enemy ship. Why would they attack their greatest ally?

Regardless, many fathers and brothers on both sides were killed in this 2 year war. Many sons and brothers will become radicalized. It’s a continuation.

Why not both . . because time and again a separate "state" has been refused by Palestinians. Their goal is to completely iradicate the State of Israel. Even if they were to achieve statehood, it w/be only a matter of time before they "dust off" their weapons to pursue their main objective . . the end of Israel and every citizen therein.

Both sides are heathen trash that haven’t accepted Christ and nothing will change until his return.

Both sides are wrong!

Jews are fleecing the American taxpayer in the name of Christ and it’s the highest order of blasphemy.

Well that is convenient. Was it confirmed by the Israelis?

We should all move to Israel because that country never does
anything wrong.

Yours is the kind of flawed thinking that results in a hundred years of warfare. There are all kinds of “peoples” who have the same “right” to a homeland that you say the Palestinians have - Native Americans, Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, Uyghurs - but they don’t have it because they weren’t powerful enough to sustain it.

When foreign powers support the pitifully weak Palestinian society’s “rights” to a homeland they perpetuate a war that can only continue with outside help. This outside help brings outside help for the Israelis, and you have a Great Power playground of carnage and death.

If we had allowed the Israelis to kick the Palestinians out 75 years ago there would have been a diaspora, and no one would even think about them today. They would be living lives in Syria, Lebanon, and other countries, and they would have forgotten their fake Palestinian identities.

Everyone in th eworld thinks that the two state solution is the proper one for that conflict, with the exception of two groups - The Palestinians and the Israelis. Both of them think that ethnic cleansing or, in the case of the Palestinians, genocide is the answer. Leave them to it, as we have the other aforementioned groups.

Based on what logic?

There is no historical logic to that claim.

Support your position.

RFK...

Your post definitely shows the differences in the two groups. Yet you still think both sides could be "right".

That is tiresome.

Palestinians can't even get along with their own religious brethren. They are hostile, bred for war and will accept nothing less than subjugation or subjugating others. Period.

Both sides can be tiresome, even wrong... but Palestinians will NEVER be in the right. Not Ever. Never Ever Ever.

Palestine would wipe Israel off the map if given the chance. They only want war with Israel.

If Israel laid down their arms, there wound be no more Israel. If Palestine laid down their arms, there would be no more war.

That’s your answer.

Because one side are muderous savages in a death cult whose priority in life is to kill all Jews and infidels. THAT is their priority. It comes before the lives of their families, neighbors, and friends.
The other side has never proclaimed all Palestinians must die and have many concessions over the last decades attempting to compromise with the savages. Even removing all Jews drom Gaza and giving it to the Palestinians.

They have plenty of their own states.

And these people you claim should have their own country already do. They are called Egypt and Jordan.

The Dirt people were rwong for their terrorism on 10-07. Their fellow dirt people cheered in the street when they returned home, dragging beaten, hurt people. The Israelis are wrong for dragging the genocide out. They should have eliminated the future threats in a timely manner.
