The democrats are screwed if the SCOTUS does what they should coupled with the new census in 2030. They’re only going to get more violent.

From Perplexity:
The Court generally issues major rulings by late June or early July, but this case's decision timeline can be influenced by its high stakes and political implications. A ruling could come as early as mid-2026 but is most likely expected by the end of the Supreme Court's current term, which concludes in late June or early July 2026. This timing means the ruling could impact redistricting efforts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Watched an interesting opinion video on this yesterday. Listening to Roberts' words, it certainly sounds like he is leaning towards overturning. So if Roberts is indeed an "overturn" vote, it's almost certainly going to be another 6-3 decision with activist Justices Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson dissenting as usual.
I mean, seriously, there is nothing constitutional about drawing your maps based on racial demographics. In actuality, it's wholly unconstitutional and should never have passed. It's simply a tool to keep the Black Plantation vote locked down. If we're to be done with the racial bullshite, then racial policies need to be excised with extreme prejudice.

Change 'black' to 'white' and see if it is then acceptable.
If not, then it ain't constitutional.

Keep in mind the questions is can districts be drawn based solely on race. There is no way, if you read the constitution, that this should be allowed. BUT the issue is not gerrymandering meaning you could still draw districts based on income or even party affiliation. Even if overturned its not going to end the districting battles. .

Just follow the anger that DEI Jackson had in her unending string of stupid questions and you have a good feel where this is going.

Yes they will as they should.
Which means further escalation because the Democrats are absolutely fricked if house seats are actually delegated appropriately.
These stupid “No KiNgS” protest make more sense now?
It’s just a conduit to program stupid democrats and reinforce the message.
It is a stepping stone towards kinetic Civil War, while we are already in the middle of an actual civil war right now. It has already kicked off.
Actual insurrections are happening daily all across the country.

Or change black to Hispanic, Asian?

No, they will not. At best they will make a nuanced decision on Louisiana’s map solely and not a broad decision on the merits of the law. It’s almost like y’all have been asleep during the court’s tenure

Doesn’t make sense that there would be racial prejudice in the voting rights act.
Seems like it’s smoke and mirrors.

Did Kagan give any indication of her thoughts? None of articles I have read even mention her.

Not everyone should be allowed to vote. Not about color or race.
Posted on 10/17/25 at 3:34 pm to TigersHuskers
Why should race be a determining factor in drawing districts? There’s nothing from stopping the use of sexual orientation or gender as a criteria either other than no one has been ballzy enough to try it.. if anything it can be argued that black folks in these districts have been harmed by subjecting them to arse representation that has allowed politicians to enrich themselves while their constituents wallow in a socioeconomic hell for generations
