Had this exact convo with a buddy last weekend. My stance is that solo guys of similar age, John Mellencamp and Billy Joel are much more appealing.

I don’t get Springsteen but I think with Springsteen the “greatness” comes from the legendary live performances. If you’ve never seen him live, or didn’t see him live late 70’s-mid 80’s you probably don’t get it.
