LSU may be ranked No. 10, but the reality is we're not a top 10 or a legitimate CFP team

Although I want LSU to make the playoffs, it would take a modern day miracle for this team to make the playoffs based on how it has performed up this point of the season. We just have too many weaknesses to overcome to make a serious run at making the playoffs.

Every team has weaknesses. There is no 2019 LSU dominant team this season

Have you watched any of the other teams?

This team is not great at all but we don’t need any miracles. We only have two very difficult games left and one of them is going to be a home night one. Split those and hope OU has nothing to play for in the final game to get to 10-2.

So which is it?

Have you watched anyone else play and can say they aren’t flawed?

So, let’s take a look at the teams behind them:
- Tennessee is the opposite of LSU. Their offense is very strong, but they just narrowly avoided defeat against Miss St and Arkansas due to a suspect defense.
- Georgia Tech’s best win was over Clemson at home in a game they were outgained. They had narrow escapes against Colorado and Wake Forest.
- ND began the year giving up 98 points in 3 games and losing 2 before hitting a soft spot in their schedule.
- Oklahoma just got held to 6 points and had 2 other games with 24. They’ve had more success against non-P4 defenses than LSU, but not against P4.
- BYU hasn’t played anyone, but still narrowly escaped Arizona and Colorado.
- Missouri played better offensively against SC, but surrendered more points for a similar margin of victory. Lost at home to Alabama.
- Vandy will get to see next. They looked good offensively against weaker competition, but only put up 14 against Alabama and only gained 328 against SC (with 10 points on short drives off turnovers late padding their point total). They have given up 65 points in their last 2 games, including 35 against Utah
St.
- Virginia lost 35-31 to 4-3 NC St and needed OT against now unranked FSU and Louisville. Good offense. Questionable defense.
- USF got blown out by Miami and got lucky against Florida.
- USC lost 34-32 to Illinois and gave up 31 to Michigan St.
- Texas has struggled even more than LSU at times offensively and has 2 losses, including Florida.
Which of those look like playoff teams to you?

Alabama could have easily lost to Mizzu yesterday.
Ole Miss almost lost to Washington St.
UGA beat Auburn by the same as we beat USCe and they have an SEC loss like we do.
Texas already has 2 losses and still has to play UGA on the road and have Vandy and TAMU on the schedule
Tennesse has an SEC loss, could bave EASILY lost to both Miss St and Arkansas, and still has to play Alabama on the road Florida on the road (which is their kryptonite), Vandy and Oklahoma.
Oklahoma has a loss and still has to play on the road vs South Carolina who picked Nuss off twice and an injured Mateer had 3 picks last night and has 6 on the season. They also have to play an INSANE!!!!!! Gauntlet in Bama and Tennessee on the road plus LSU, Ole Miss, and Mizzou
Mixzou has to play Vandy and Oklahoma on the road and has to play TAMU
TAMU has to play Texas on the road, LSU on the road, and Mizzu on the road.
Also just to let people know. TAMU has to play back to back road SEC games. It has been EXTREMELY rare for any team to come out unscathed in history. We are their last SEC game on a 5 straight SEC game stretch.

Only two difficult games left? Have you seen our OL play this year? Did you see us gain just 59 yards against the worst rushing defense in the SEC two weeks ago against Ole Miss?
Did you see South Carolina give us a gift on its first drive with a fumble in the red zone? We went three plays and out and settled for a field goal!
Did you see Nuss throw two interceptions, including one at the gold line? LSU also fumbled another time inside the one!
I like your enthusiasm, but the reality is we're not a very good team right now. A lot of fans are counting the Vandy game as a win, but this is not the normal Vandy team and they could run us out of the stadium. This team is legit and it's not going to be an easy win. We are currently a 2-point underdog!

Name 9 teams that you know could beat us on neutral field.

We can get by with a crappy lower scoring offense. We can't get by with a crappy offense that also turns the ball over at a high rate.

Just curious: did you see that we beat South Carolina by 10?
Just checking, you might need a new prescription for your glasses.

If the offense can get some mojo going and get 27-34 points a game, everyone will be screaming a different story, because the defense is just that damn good.

After watching Texas vs Oklahoma I thought LSU looked better than both of those teams. Need to clean up the turnovers.
