Standing up during games, concert seats etc.

Do you ever stand up during a great play or when a band really gets into it or are you ever concerned about people behind you who aren't into it as much?
Any good or bad experiences? Drugs and alcohol comments welcome.

If a great play happens such as a hit that might be a homerun, I think it's a natural reaction to stand up in excitement. I just assume the folks behind me are into the game as much to do the same.

During the LSU national championship game in 2003, their first in 45 years, we had a dude sitting behind us who barely fit into the stadium seat. He started complaining about us standing up in the 1st quarter.
I explained the benefits of watching a game from the recliner in his own home and didn’t hear from him again.

It depends.
Concerts: if you have floor seats, by all means stand up. If you are in the nosebleeds and stand up, F you.
Sporting Events: Lower bowl big moments Id hope everyone is standing. Between plays most people sit down anyway

I stood up every football game, our seats were row 1. Concerts I stand depending on the venue. Saw old crow and went to the back to stand because everyone sat for most of the show. A widespread show im standing with everyone else.

Worse than that, people who go to Disney then say the damn ride lines. I didn't wait in line for an hour to fky over cardboard cut outs to hear you narrate.

I stand 100% of the time at a concert but want to pay for a seat so I have an assigned area when I go get a drink or use the bathroom. Football games I’m standing when my team is on defense and any big offensive play

Nobody is going to watch your shitty video of a concert or game. I don't think people have realized that with many bands you can find the official YouTube video of the concert online, and can download it. Take a selfie when you're getting your drink and post a #Swiftie2025 and STFU you useless drones.
