Death Valley at night is unmatched, in the first half…

Then embarrassing to see all the empty seats because folks have to leave to beat traffic.

That's not the only reason folks leave.
The crowd tried to get into the game several times last night, only for the offense to shite the bed over and over.

It's only unmatched for huge games. It's just another venue otherwise.

I stayed until a couple minutes left in the 4th with my young kid who was up way past their bedtime and had zero traffic. It was a great experience.

Even if we weren’t playing well, the lower bowl being over half empty in a close SEC matchup at night in perfect weather is a staggeringly new phenomenon. I’m not sure why anyone would pretend otherwise.

Why do half of the fans leave at halftime of a competitive game? I can understand blowouts and rent-a-wins, but not against an SEC opponent where it’s a close game. Why even bother to show up?

Weak, fat, lazy, indifferent. So lazy that they cannot even sit in one place and cheer for three hours. That's the real answer. The crowds of yesteryear were tougher, more passionate about the team, and had attention spans greater than a sleepy toddler.

The place was pretty damn full until the 3rd quarter. The family next to us left at the end of the 3rd quarter, not because they wanted to beat traffic, but because the dad said "I can't watch anymore of this shite."

The majority of people who agree with this probably don’t go to games anyway or provide any vested interest in changing it.

This! Watch a Penn St game or hell a Bama game, packed from start to finish.

You think other teams fans go home if their team isn’t playing to its full potential?

The product on the field sucks.

Spoiled fans. If it isn't a top 10 matchup they don't care.
You have a large contingent of people who go for the tailgating and social aspect. Once they kiss the right people’s arse and get their pics for social media, they are satisfied. A lot of your die hard salt of the earth types have been priced out.

Because at the end of the day, it’s more comfortable to watch the game from your couch than the stadium. Add in traffic and the fact that people have likely already been outside for several hours tailgating prior, a lot of people are exhausted. Not saying it’s the right thing to do, it’s just the truth.

Not going to lie getting home at 3 am from a game really sucks. Makes me kind of dread night time games. Almost better to just get a hotel, but then your whole Sunday is ruined.

Hardly anyone is there to watch a football game anymore.
The amount of times people sit through a 5 minute TV timeout then the second the ball is about to be snapped they pop up to get another nacho is unbelievable.
At dinner Friday night, the table next to us was running through their itinerary for game day. It included leaving the game at halftime.
So many people say they love LSU football and most of them are liars.

I stayed until the end. Football games are entertainment though and our offense is not that. I don’t blame anyone for leaving or booing. There is too much money and resources invested to have this shite of a product.

Yes. I think they do. I'm paying for tickets. If the product on the field is hot garbage, then I have the right to leave (I didn't leave) if I want to. Last night was likely the only game I will attend this season, so I stuck it out, but it wasn't particularly enjoyable to watch. I kept hoping against hope that our offense would get its shite together, but it never did. It's a one step forward and two steps back kind of situation.

This is a result of pricing out real fans in favor of rich donors and sponsors there to be seen or for business marketing.
Expand suites for those purposes. The first several rows suck anyhow, make them field suites.
Reserve regular seating for fans and enforce attendance as a condition of being allowed to purchase future tickets. They have the technology to see what seats are empty in the 4th.
