I can't understate just how bad Nuss was that last real drive

Do you know how difficult it is to be behind someone that is running full effort ahead, wrap your arms around their waist from behind, and not only stop their forward movement, but pick them up and throw them back? That is what happened to Nuss on that 2nd and goal from the 12 inch line. He is so incredibly weak. Oh, and he also fumbled that play. Got thrown around like a rag doll and fumbled. Then the next play, he botches a simple under center snap. The play call was abysmal, this offense is absolutely incapable of picking up 3rd and goal from the 3 by running, that should've definitely been a pass play.

He managed 2 fumbles and 2 INTs.

Play call was not the problem. Stop blaming Sloan because Nuss is awful.

I’m not calling a qb sneak with a weak offensive line and a qb that was limping around all night. Play calling definitely was not great at the goal line

Nuss does not have it upstairs. The processing power is just not there.

He had his QB who had a bum ankle almost the entire game keep the ball and try to sneak it in from the one which resulted in the offense going backwards. Twice.

Yeah, that was a great call.

I'm sorry but Sloan is not a good OC. Nuss has his faults as well but he got beat up, toughed it out and stayed out there.

He pressed things and tried to be perfect which resulted in the interceptions.

Play call was absolutely abysmal. If you think we can pick up 3rd and goal from the 3 yardline which is where we were, by running, then you haven't watched LSU this year. 3rd and goal from 3 should be 100% pass on this team.

For a normal team with a decent OL and a QB who's not hurt, the playcalling wasn't bad.

The problem is that the OL isn't great and the QB was hurt. So the playcalls were dumb.

If you're going to run AT LEAST disguise it a little. Line up wide out, spread out the defense, put in Green as a decoy.

This isn't rocket science.

Sloan's arse should be fired for this travesty alone.

How in the frick do you not have the hottest player of the game on the field in that situation?

Absolute trash of an OC.

I find some solace in the fact that Sloan won’t be here next season. Woody will demand a change.

Nuss needs to spend more time with a QB guru.....like his dad.

He is regressing.

nah. The primary objective was the make it a 2 score game. Secondary objective was to make USCe have to burn some timeouts. Running the ball was the right call. We were already in position to secure the game by going up 10.

You have to play MVB some and use him in those situations. Our coaching staff is two stupid to see this. It will cost us 3 more games.

THIS! Is was a wasted down, no other way to say it. We looked pretty good getting down to the 1 yd line then we run three plays that put us back to the 3 yd line for a FG. It perfectly summed up our inept OFF line and the unbelievable poor play calling on that set of downs. We did everything we could do to give that game away last night by leaving at least 18 points on the field. Glad the DEF held their ground.

Yet we still had people, especially a certain one, defending him all game thread, if this doesn’t happen or that doesn’t happen, refusing to admit it’s constant theme with Nuss…

I can’t understand why in the last drive from the 1 you don’t jump ball it to your 6’7 receiver three times in a row.

He was locked in last night.

Starting to think that Kelly didn't want to and was happy to settle for the FG and burn timeouts.

If that is true then don’t sneak your lame qb. He clearly wanted 6. Didn’t make sense at the time.

I’ll give you that last night Sloan’s playcalling was not bad.

But he’s been terrible more often than not.

Nuss was classic Nuss last night.

Both of them hold the team back (Along with Davis and the O line)
