J-Lo new movie is an epic bomb

Kiss of the Spider Woman will hit a major low during its box office debut. 2025's Kiss of the Spider Woman adapts the 1992 stage musical adapting the 1976 novel, which was previously made into a movie in 1985. The Bill Condon movie, which stars Jennifer Lopez, Diego Luna, and Tonatiuh, generated Oscar buzz after its Sundance premiere in January.
Per Deadline, as of Saturday morning, Kiss of the Spider Woman is projected to end its debut weekend with a 3-day domestic total of $1 million. Because it is playing in 1,330 theaters, this means that it will earn a per-screen average of $767.
If its projections hold through the end of Sunday, that total will mean that it will have earned the 267th worst debut per-screen average of all time, coming in just below the $770 per-screen average of the opening weekend of the 2021 Gerard Butler neo-noir movie Copshop.
