Anyone noticing that the government is shut down?

Personally, I don’t even notice that it’s shut down. Anyone else not notice that the federal government is still shut down? Almost as if they didn’t want us to know we would be fine without the leviathan.

My life hasn’t changed.
I’m still living my life and paying taxes.

Updated list of all the negative effects I’ve felt from the shutdown.

Only when the ATC didn’t show up for work; flight delays; other than that didn’t notice

My mail has been being delivered. Other than that, I hadn't really noticed any differences.

My wife waited 90 minutes on hold to walk a moron IRS agent through their mistake but nobody answered the phone.
Tried to register a complaint online at donotcall.gov and the website was shut down.
That's about it so far.

I have junior Sailors who have to apply for a loan through a relief society just to pay their rent

A paycheck would be nice. But whatever.

And, of course, they will receive these loans.
It's unfortunate the Dems won't do what's best for the country.

This is why the GOP are going to lose this fight.
The right doesn't get it.
This is not about you, it's about the two CRs. One is full of leftwing spending and the other has no cuts, a clear CR.
The Dems are winning this due to the fact that so many on the right don't get the terms of the fight. The left does. They see this as way to take Trump down.
You are in a knife fight if your opponent pulls a knife, even if you don't.

No you don't.
Navy Federal Credit Union is still going to pay the Sailors that bank with them. USAA is offering 0% interest loans to cover potential missed pay periods.
My son is a Sailor.
Quit making up bullshite.

I would hope so because the USPS is not a part of the federal government.
Postal Service not affected by a government shutdown
Sept. 25, 2025
U.S. Postal Service operations will not be interrupted in the event of a government shutdown, and all Post Offices will remain open for business as usual. Because we are an independent entity that is generally funded through the sale of our products and services, and not by tax dollars, our services will not be impacted by a government shutdown.

Don’t be expecting that letter on Monday.
Post Office will be closed. But not for the Democratic Shutdown, it is a Federal Holiday for Columbus Day.
