That’s how you know Sloan is almost without a doubt a good OC. Universal dumbass outrage.

If you’re not No. 1, you’re No. 2 or lower.

Everyone on message boards feels the need to have an opinion and many here rush to form that opinion as quickly as possible. Baseball, more than any other sport, is not the place to rush into forming opinions. These teams change so much over the course of a season which makes this the worst place to talk about baseball. Yeskie has proven that he can create an excellent pitching staff but he has also proven that it takes the majority of a season to get there

I can't wait for the season to start so I can complain when a pitcher is up in the count 0-2 and Yeskie tries to get the batter to chase and we end up walking the batter.

ETA - Jay and Yeskie are a good combo. Jay loves his tall, lengthy left handers and it seems Yeskie works his best magic with those types. Excited to see them run it back next year.

Sloan has this many skins on the wall? I’d love to see them.

ETA: I don’t like Yeskie’s pitch sequencing, but I’m not going to complain about it anymore. The end results show I’m wrong.

Coaches did a really really good job with pitchers last year. Outside of our two aces, they weren't blowing it out of the water most of the year but they settled in and improved during the post season. I was really impressed.

It took him some time to learn how to call pitches for Eyanson. That’s not really debatable.

I think it’s okay to like the end result but still question things in real time that seem off. We’re obviously not privy to every discussion of what’s being worked on and who is feeling good or bad. But sometimes things still stick out as weirdly off, and it’s okay to comment on it.

It"s not all his fault, but I have not heard 1 soul that didn't think the 2-point conversion call (a shotgun run 6 yards behind the line of scrimmage) wasn't a terrible, head-scratching call for a team that couldn't run even against Ole Miss. And your best play is supposed to be your 2-point conversion play. So what does that say about the OC?

The announcers had to hold back from saying “what the frick was that?!”. They were baffled.

its ok to question it but many here called for his firing early in the year claiming they were never sold on him. Couldn't tell you a thing about him, how he uses tech to improve guys, his philosophy or really anything about the man, just not sold on him.

and perfectly normal to get frustrated with pitch calling but most here cant tell you what should be called and when much less, as you mentioned, are they privy to info on what each pitcher has been working in the bullpen.

in the end, the proof is in, nate is a damn good coach and has been at every stop.

Yep

Seemed like we had four reliable arms most of the season (Kade, Anthony, Zac, and Evans). Then Zac struggled several outings late. But come post-season and Omaha . . .

Cowan threw a gem. Shores was a monster. And don't forget how well Mayers pitched vs Arky. His two Ks was the spark that initiated the Arky implosion.

Not even a comparable situation

I guess the outrage on here about House was wrong too huh? You're not looking very smart with your point.
