away from LSU? The answer is ZERO! Not even group of 6 teams want this clown. WTH is he doing as the OC at a SEC school? Answer is Kelly is lazy and today’s game passed him like a F15 passing a pinto.

As the QB coach for the Heisman trophy winner in 2023 who had a remarkable progression from 2022 to 2023 I suspect he was in-demand as an OC for other programs.

Still can’t figure out why he didn’t go out and replace Denbrock with a “Gus Malzahn, Bobby Petrino, Ryan Grubb type” of proven play caller.
First Polian then House and now Sloan. Bad hires gonna be BK’s downfall.

Sloan is still here because BK put all his eggs in one basket with Underwood. Once Underwood flipped to Michigan, BK should've immediately looked for a new OC. I don't see Sloan surviving this season unless he goes back to being a position coach.

I would not anticipate a .bidding war at the end of the season for either Sloan or Davis.

Maybe non P4 schools. Most big programs aren’t untested in coordinators with limited playcalling experience.

Especially when the HC doesn’t call plays on either side of the ball.

Do the down votes come from trolls inside the athletic department?

None of us can possibly know this to be true.

Likely because his ego can't handle anyone he doesn't personally know or can control. Common problem for offensive minded coaches.

He was. Vandy wanted him as the OC and he was going to take it unless we promoted him to Co-OC

WOW! You are a tremendous judge of of OC talent. Tell us what it's like on the sidelines, in the press box and in the coaches meetings.

You are getting downvoted because of recency bias, but people here are stupid.

Sloan’s agent was likely was getting hit up with offers for him to be a QB Coach and (fake) Co-OC elsewhere for a pay bump because of his ties to Underwood.

And based on his success with Daniels fresh off a Heisman, he likely had some G5 looks and some lower-level P4 offers to be an OC. Schools like that are always looking for a guy on the rise they can give a position bump to. And as we’ve seen with Sloan, they often don’t work out, but schools in lesser conferences and with less financial and fan support have to take chances to make a move up. After Daniels’ 23 season and before he had a chance to show what he actually was as a P4 OC, Sloan was briefly seen by others as “on the rise.”

He may get a shot as a QB coach or analyst somewhere next season, but it’s going to be a sizable step down. I don’t think any G5 would consider him as an OC after this season.

I read on here at one time that Sloan never even called plays at LaTech (even with the OC title). It was naptime that said it I believe.

Southern and Grambling will be in a bidding war for Davis in 26! (That's exactly where he belongs)..........

Don’t forget our entire defensive staff year 1 outside of Cain.

BK has been absolutely terrible in his hiring decisions outside of brining Denbrock and bringing back Baker and Raymond.

Anyone else beginning to wonder that when the boosters told Woody to "hire Kelly" they meant Chip and Woody misunderstood?
