George Clooney recently told E! News that “Ocean’s 14” is likely going to film next year with original franchise stars Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle expected to return. The Oscar winner first teased there was a “great” script for “Ocean’s 14” in 2023. Variety reported at the start of this year that “The Fall Guy” and “Bullet Train” filmmaker David Leitch was boarding the crime caper sequel to direct.

“We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros. and we’re trying to set up,” Clooney now confirmed. “It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us. Probably start in about nine or 10 months, shooting.”

When asked if he is excited to reunite with Brad Pitt once again on the big screen, Clooney answered: “Yeah, Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon] and Don [Cheadle] and Julia [Roberts]. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends. And so, the chance to work together would be fun.”

ETA: Ocean's 11 came out in 2001. What are they going to do? Rob a nursing home?

This gif is so appropriate for this:

I loved 11 and it's one of my more rewatchable movies of all time but I feel like this has a high box office bomb likelihood.

I wonder if they'll use some of the women from Ocean’s 8 to replace Mack and Reiner. Maybe Casey Affleck, if they decide to stay away from casting him.

Begin with the ending of Ocean's 8. He breaks out of his coffin like he's The Undertaker and gives Sandra Bullock a heart attack.

I watched the first 3-4 never knew they were up to 14

There's Ocean's 11, Ocean's 12, Ocean's 13, and the Ocean's 8 spinoff.

I'd rank them 11, 13, 8, 12.

My guess is I'll like 14 more than 12 b/c I really hate the entire "Julia Roberts plays a character who looks like Julia Roberts" part of the movie.

Why wouldn't they cast him?

I just hated 12 because it sucked.

Love 11 and 13 though.

There are some big names circling this one … and some interesting potential locations. And with David Leitch at the helm, expect a nice mix of action and comedy.

He was blacklisted for a while due to sexual harassment allegations. But Nolan didn't seem to care, so we'll see

It's an awful sequence. It blows my mind that Soderbergh kept that in. It almost derails an otherwise fun film.

100% this. T2 and oceans 11 are the two most rewatchable movies of all time.

Unfortunately, the oceans sequels weren't nearly as good.

The breakdancing master French thief helped take me out of it.

That is something that should have been in a Deadpool film, not a heist movie.

Yeah, Ocean's 12 was so dogshit. The dancing thief, the julia roberts meta shite, way too much cute BS

I actually kinda liked 13 though
