In their defense Paramount+ made this and Netflix is re-releasing it to a larger audience.

Really just skip season 1 and season 2 will still make sense to fans.

It’s just SO frustrating how it seems like everything nowadays has been gayed, feminized, and ‘toxic whitenessed’ to DEATH. They would get SO much better reviews and profit if they just put as much effort into developing a gripping plot as they do making everything as woke as possible.
Somebody needs to make movies that have characters that actually make sense and stay out of freaking politics. Gosh….

Staying faithful to source material is pretty much challenge level impossible for modern writers.
Bastardized adaptations are nothing new, but in the past it wasn't guaranteed it would be terrible, you frequently got faithful ones too.
The executives seem incapable of stepping in and telling rogue creatives to knock it off.

Well, it’s ultimately their fault bc they are the ones that hired the alphabet and woke-incensed yahoos to begin with.
I think 99% of all actors, writers, producers, and studio execs are slap-raving crazy, mentally ill, demon possessed, or all the above. It really is ridiculous…. It’s getting to where our young people don’t even know what a truly GREAT movie even looks or feels like anymore. It’s ALL BS today.

Season 1 is terrible. Season 2 tried to right the ship and it was finally getting there around the last 2 or 3 episodes but the damage from Season 1 was too much. Something like Halo should print money with a built-in audience but Hollywood can’t help itself to not hire writers that openly hate the source material.

They look for vehicles to push their agenda. Original concepts with those agendas would never make it and they know it. Corinthians can blame MAGA all they want but it is so blatantly obvious. My foreign gf had never seen The Last of the Mohicans and I had her watch it the other night. She made the comment that us Americans would probably make Madeline Stowe trans if it were made today. Things are such a joke now

The whole plot is pretty stupid. There was so many different ways they could have gone with this show that stayed with the source material and they decided to make their own.
The people who want to watch this are the people that know the source material. Why in the world would you alienate them?
