to save him from sliding in the draft.

No other way to stop a fall after a performance like he had.

I think if he played halfway decent against OM this whole story would be different.

So the made up an injury during fall camp to make sure he didn’t slide in the draft because they saw how bad we was playing?

The injury was fully healed after SLU.

How did it affect him again if Kelly said he was fully healed 7 days prior?

If it’s true that Garrett didn’t use the VR tech for two full season cycles then that’s entirely on him and he deserves to slide. Jayden heavily credited the VR tech with helping him grow.

Is because he is clearly hurt and they can't hide it anymore. It honestly seems to be getting worse game by game.

He probably feels hurt, but isn’t really hurt. It’s probably something he should be able to play through but is having trouble.I think that’s possibly what’s going on.

Nuss is just lazy. Call it what it is.

Didn't work on his game and CBK decided to excuse his laziness by calling it an injury.

Frick them both.

I find that story to be hard to believe. They wouldn't reward a lazy player with an NIL deal good enough to forego the draft AND the number 18.

There was a lack of candidates. Isn’t it voted on by the #18 committee anyway?

Brian Kelly was very clearly and very obviously trying to quell the uproar from the fanbase. Y'all have to remember, he is a politician from New England, so he lies constantly.

This was literally just posted on the board this week by random people and yall are jumping all over it as fact. There is no way they give 18 to a guy thats not putting in the work.

Nuss is playing terrible but he is clearly injured. We watched him sling it all over the field last year, he didn't just magically lose his ability to throw a football.

They have given the number to backups before when they didn't have a good starter candidate. Whit Weeks is a clear candidate that could have gotten the number if Nuss was lazy.

You really enjoy getting downvoted don't you?

I seriously hope you're an alter spamming the board and not a real LSU fan.

So you are making a sweeping judgment on 2 people based on ZERO knowledge of the situation? There is a very good chance that what you are asserting is not the truth.

LOL.. that is not how the draft works at all.. it is extensive research and tape analyzing... Nuss is sliding if he can't make decisions or throws, it does not matter what BK says the reason was... I would think at this point from my unprofessional view Nuss is currently a 4th or 5th round pick, with a 3rd as the ceiling and undrafted as the floor

I fully agree. He’s not hurt they’re just lying to protect him

He worked for a couple of politicians in Massachusetts when he was in college, majoring in Political Science. His entire professional career has been in coaching, which hardly makes him a politician. He is from Massachusetts, though, so that is New England

So an injury that required rest healed without any rest?

They need to get Nuss into some medical studies.

His dad probably said,"that shite doesn't work". You know his dad knows everything about QB because he was a 3rd stringer for the Saints and is now on the staff of the (0 - 4) Saints.
