Return of the Living Dead 3

WTF did I watch.
I’ve seen the first movie many times. Never seen the second. And I’m not shocked by movies very often. But this was fricking nuts.
Really fricked up implications. That the only sway to cure the want to eating brains is to inflict pain on yourself.
The actress cutting herself up and inserting glass as moves into her fingers.
The whole last 20 minutes which turns into zombie terminator

Return of the Living Deads are almost comedies. They aren't really like the Living Dead trilogy which is somewhat more serious.
If the zombie speak and say "Brains" your watching return. The second one even had a Thriller dance number.
The first one had the naked punk chick dancing in the cemetary. Nothing to do with night, day or dawn of the dead.

That’s somewhat intentional. There was a big legal issue between Romero and one of the producers who went on to make Return of the living Dead.

..Julie was hot though.

Both Part 1 and Part 2 are amazing - a lot of fantastic Horror/Comedy around that time - Evil Dead 2, House, American Werewolf was a bit earlier, etc.
Plus, boobage!

John Russo, he was the writer of Night of the Living Dead and retained rights to “Living Dead”, which is why it wasn’t Dawn of the Living Dead.

Then revenge 1, 2 and 3.
But isn't there yet another set of zombie movies from that period? I know the dead movies were remade with Dawn having running zombies . I'm trying to think if there was anther trilogy of zombie movies from that period.

Decided to watch all 3 since this post. I forgot how funny he second one was. Also had a kid as the main character which is odd for a zombie movie, with his bully being one of the main zombies.
Zombies talk more in this movie than any other zombie picture. Answering questions, calling for brains using the radio to ask for brains.
Its not serious at all. Most of the kills are over the top. The make up is the best of the three too.
The ending is more upbeat for a zombie movie too. Ending with a severed head talking shite. I watch the first one almost every year but hadn't seen two or three in a while.
I recommend 2 it is on YouTube in full.
