This is insane. He "tweaked" it in practice. Said he might even play that week no big deal

Doesn't go on IR

5 weeks...

He’s more like “Chase Old” because of his health and his injury history.

Every time you hear calf strain, you just have to consider the possibility it’s actually an Achilles that will end up being a catastrophic injury.

It’s pretty clear finding a durable, game changing defensive end/edge rusher is more difficult than you think. We’ve had a decent run and lots of misses..Jordan, Junior Gallette, Trey Hendricks, Davenport, …the list goes on. However within the NFC South not too many striking fear and wrecking games. Hopefully we rid ourselves of Chase and find a young stud. Soon.

What? Loomis just signed him to a big extension. He’s here the next three years.

Did you list Hendricks & Davenport under the "durable, game changing defensive end/edge rusher" list?

Young was 7th in the NFL in pressures last year

He’s not the 7th best edge rusher but he isn’t arse

He is absolutely, 100%, prime USDA arse! When a QB can sit in the pocket for 5 seconds, then Bresee finally pushes the pocket back and Young who has been blocked and pushed beyond the pocket is near the QB and gets credit for a pressure, that does nothing to help the defense. He had a higher usage rate than Granderson and Cam, but had the same number of sacks. He’s bottom of the league in sacks. And he’s a liability in the run game.

I liked the initial signing to see if he could stay healthy and get back in form. But he did nothing last year and we need a legit pass rusher. Not some 27 year old who has failed to live up to his potential.
