How many times in LSU football history has a QB been benched because of ineffectiveness?

Assume that the benched QB had no injuries to warrant him being replaced.
Off the top of my head:
Jefferson came in for Lee in 2011 Bama game.
Rohan Davey came in for Josh Booty in 2000 bowl game.
Etling came in for Brandon Harris at beginning of 2016 season.

Harris for Jennings in 2014 against Mississippi State.
Rick Clausen (shout out) in 2002 for Marcus Randall against Ole Miss.
JaMarcus also came in to replace Randall in 2004 against Oregon State.
Those are just off the top of my head, but all 3 players that were benched either got their job back or split time.

Not a benching. Hodson came out as starter in 86. Guidry was given time off the bench as a change of pace. Worked well as I remember.

Maybe we see it happen this year against SC or Vandy, but they weren’t gonna do it in the 2Q vs Ole Miss.

BH came in for Jennings against Miss St (Week 4), started against NM St (Week 5), & then got pulled in the 3Q against Auburn down 34-7.
Jennings started the next week & rest of season

In '76. Cholly Mac used a 2-QB system with Pat Lyons and Bobby Moreau. It was late in the season, but he benched both for Steve Ensminger.
Bobby switched to OLB for '77 and not sure Lyons ever took another snap behind Woodley and Ensminger.

wasn't for ineffectiveness, but the only success that comes to mind is when Matt Mauck replaced an injured Rohan Davey.
But to answer, Etling coming in for Brandon Harris is the only other one that sticks out to me.
Lots during the Miles era...

2021 when Nuss came in for Max Johnson for the Arkansas game. Ironic. Same thing is about to happen to him lol.

David Woodley for the "Thinking Man's Quarterback", numerous games in 1978-79.

Even more of a reason to bench him then.

Max Johnson was ineffective in the first two drives of that game; he was reportedly "injured", justifying his replacement with Nuss.
