He was asked once again-point blank- is Nuss injured and he said no.

This is a lie.

The man has no respect for what we “lay” people see on the field.

He operates under the mantra:

Believe what I say, not what your lying eyes are seeing.

Kelly doesn't owe me candor, and I frankly couldn't give a shite what he, on any coach, says in a press conference. In fact, I can't remember the last time I watched a press conference. All that matters is results.

If Nussmeier is injured to the extent that it is completely tanking the offense then he should NOT have practiced/played the week of the SLU game and he should have been pulled vs. OM when it was clear he was ineffective.

If the players are getting paid like pros- then they should be treated like pros.

Their medical anonymity goes away when you are paying a dude over $1m to play Qb.

It’s malpractice. I have liked the guy, but as I think about it now. He is putting the qb, and offense players at risk with a limited qb in the game.

If he is not hurt, they need neurological tests on Nuss for some other conditions concerning weaknesses in a young adult. Nuss is trying hard and I understand he wants no more hits and cannot settle into his pocket rhythm. Very sad for Nuss. Not sad for a coaching staff that lets this happen…

PS and to Scott W- does this behavior by a coach allow use of contract provisions around dereliction of duty, malpractice, or player endangerment? Just asking.

Forget about the effect Kelly's fork tongue has on us.
What effect does it have on the team...a lying coach playing a hurt kid & not giving another even a shot...and seeing their path to the CFP go down the drain.
And this in the age of the portal, when most of these kids are rightfully looking out for number 1 vs. playing for Dear Ole LSU!

Kelly really only has to honestly fill out the injury report.

Other than that I don't expect honesty from a coach in something like this.

I am growing upset at the decision making though. I am strongly questioning whether Nuss actually gives us the best chance to win in this form

Isn't that up to Nuss to make public?

If it's all about protecting a player's draft status (which completely pisses me off if true) when do they realize by allowing him to play less than 100% is doing nothing but hurting him

Coaches aren’t obligated to tell us much. The bigger issue here is why all the back and forth? What purpose could that possibly serve?

Nuss aggravating his knee came out this summer, and it had to be talked about. Kelly was the one who brought up Nuss’ core a couple of weeks ago, or we wouldn’t even be talking about that. And now he’s supposedly ok when we can all see he isn’t. None of this helps Nuss or helps Kelly. In fact, it does nothing but hurt them both with fans and media.

The back and forth doesn’t serve any purpose except to cause confusion. If it’s meant to cause confusion to other teams scouting us, that isn’t going to work, either. They have eyes and can see Nuss isn’t right. It just doesn’t make any sense.

I don't need to wait. We can all see he is hurt. Kelly is gaslighting us like we are stupid. It's one thing to fall short of expectations, its another thing to lie to our faces. The only way Kelly can redeem himself to me is to somehow win the Natty this year and looking at the team through 5 games, that would be a miracle.

He owes it to us not to lie to our faces. He can dodge the question and say he isn't talking about Nuss's health but f;at out telling us he's healthy is a brdge too far. It shows he has ZERO respect for the fans.

As it relates to lsu it doesn’t matter. It only matters to Nuss personal draft stock

As it relates to lsu all that matters is how he can play regardless of the reason. And his play is not warranted of starting right now

Correct. He doesn’t have to be honest with us, but if Nuss is injured and BK is playing him then he is limiting the team and I hate that.

That’s why I say I hope it doesn't come out after the season Nuss was playing hurt. LSU has been fortunate it didn’t cost them more.

He doesn't owe us anything but a high performing team. That's what he was paid to deliver, and it is apparent, in his 4th year, that he is regressing and not delivering the product he was hired and paid to produce.

So yes, he DOES owe us because he is not giving us what he was paid for.
