It's true, and I hate it. Not because one side will get crushed, but because we'll all lose. People seriously don't realize that a modern Civil War will end this nation forever. Our geopolitical adversaries would love nothing more than to fund proxies that will keep us killing each other until we're weak enough to fall to outside actors. We may very well unwittingly end up fighting ourselves to determine whether it's Russia or China that ultimately rule us.

Canada and Mexico will not do anything beneficial to us either. Our "neighbors" will happily feed the fires in hopes of getting their slice of the pie.

Everyone here needs to pray very hard that this war doesn't come. When it does, the American Dream is over and the last bastion of freedom in the Western World will fall.

ETA: see, I say this (the above ^^^) and always catch downvotes for it. I don't know why anyone would think we're immune from collapse in this day and age. We already avoided a civil war once just in recent memory, when the assassin missed ending Trump's life by mere millimeters. That would have catalyzed a massive wave of violence and retribution. There are so many things that the government will ALLOW (think 9/11) to happen, just to cause more chaos, further divide the population and ultimately use the event as an opportunity to seize more powerful and infringe more rights. And the public is gaslit by an entire Narrative Control Apparatus into believing that it's "necessary". We are an incredibly fragile civilization right now, and it's sad that so many people can't see the potential for total collapse and chaos.
