I think LSU should take the safe approach with West Weeks and sit him.

Just for this week. Calf injuries are very scary and if you come back too soon there’s a much higher chance of tearing an Achilles. We will be fine with Whit, Keys and Perkins.

I'm sure the LSU training staff didn't know that before this post.

Apparently there are not enough weeks in a year yet too many Weeks at LSU for some fans to handle.

I honestly think Keys is the better player anyway. Reminds me of when we were starting DJ Welter over Kendell Beckwith for the start of 2014, then made the switch midseason and it turned our defense up to being arguably the best in the country for the last 5-6 games of that season.

You’re thinking about this weeks not next weeks.

Not necessarily. Would largely depend on where the muscle was injured. Up high near the knee probably won’t affect the Achilles tendon at all.

It depends on where he tweaked the calf.

Lower near the achilles?

Higher in the middle of the calf?

Bad comparison.

And I agree that Keys seems like a better player. But in the 3 games he played in this year, West Weeks was NOT a liability like Welter was.

I have ZERO concerns with Keys in place of West.

Being 100% honest I haven’t learned a single players name since 2020.

I will be sure to relay this to the training staff immediately.

Props for being on top of this.

West isn't nearly as bad/slow as Welter was, but I stand by the situation being similar.

The Weeks have all been good. But some Weeks are better than other Weeks right now. In the near future, I expect even better Weeks.

Transfer portal + NIL. Went from going to every game home and away since my freshman year in 2012 to dropping all of our season tickets in all sports. We did also move away which became easier once we stopped going to games around 2022.

But no. I haven’t learned any players names since 2020 because it’s hard to get invested when they are basically year by year mercenaries now.

It is what it is. Just being honest. Our enjoyment of CFB has fallen bigly and continues to fall with all the changes. Mostly now I just watch old games from the BCS era on Saturdays.

The LSU teams doctors should consult you.

I agree. Keys is probably better. People act like weeks is a lottery draft pick. He might go 3rd or 4th round. He's not that insane.
