I like the way he ran against Clemson in big moments. Ole Miss has maybe the worst run defense in the SEC. Arkansas carved them up.

There’s a reason BK had his o-line in a 3 point stance last week, he knows he needs to be able to run the ball on Ole Miss. With Durham questionable, Johnson is about to be the bell cow. I see 80+ yards and 2 TDs tomorrow.

Tigers win a close one on the road 27-20

I think LSU scores more than 27 and Ole Miss doesn't hit the 20 mark.

I’m probably one of the most positive LSU fans that I know, but for me, Johnson really doesn’t move the needle very much… he’s solid, but that’s about it in my opinion.

I’m rooting for the guy and would love to be wrong, but he’s just so…… vanilla(??) to me - not sure how else to describe it

I’d love to see Johnson have a big game, but I don’t think this is true. I think Durham will play like normal

As a former quarterback, he has great vision of the field, enough speed and great balance. Most would have gone down at the 3 yard line when he stayed on his feet and scored last week.

This game is made for JJ. He can run, catch, wildcat and be that dual threat QB we all miss. He's not a 4.3 like JD, but he looks fast enough to me. He fits perfectly with OM's 108th ranked rush defense.

I know what you mean about JJ. We want the back that Berry will be right now but since we can't have that JJ brings a decisive and solid element that we currently need. Also something could click and who knows what JJ can turn into.

He kinda reminds me of John Diarse.

I fear it may never happen, but this would sure be a great time for Kaleb Jackson to finally pull it together.

Well give me vanilla all day. He finds the hole and hits it. Gets the yards that are there and pushes the pile forward. Too many times the backs have missed the hole in the last two seasons. Durham has been a little too patient waiting for holes to open up and when they briefly do open he hasn’t always been in position to capitalize.

He was clocked at 4.52 in July 2022 (just after his junior season in HS) at a camp in Nebraska. So he's a 4.5 guy. Durham has looked slower this season (still really fast though), so I am not sure a hurt Durham is any faster than JJ.

Are you taking about the 8 yard run, the 1 yard run, or the -1 yard run?

In 3 carries he helped pick up a first down in the 2nd quarter when the offense looked lifeless.

He also had 31 yards on those screen passes when the defense refused to line up correctly.

Hopefully he can be a Josh Williams type. We miss that type of player in the backfield

I see Ole miss at about 17.

LSU at about 27 with a chance to score at the end where maybe we kneel it out.
