The Great Cereal Milk Debate 2025: in the drain or drink it?

When I was just a youngin' I slept over at a friend's house. Finished my Cereal and went to pour the milk out. Got berated and embarrassed. "We don't throw away food in this house!" To be fair they were pretty poor.
Later that day I remember telling my Grandmother what happened. "Should I drink the sugar saturated milk?"
"Pour it out, we've got more milk" Sometimes I really miss her.
Do you drink the leftover milk after eating a bowl of cereal or pour it down the drain?

Depends on what type of cereal…. But there is nothing wrong with pouring it down the drain or drinking it.

The flavored milk at the end is one of my favorite parts. Sometimes i just want that milk.

as you should have been. Why eat cereal or even put milk in it if your going to pour it out? Thats like not putting the drippings from a browned roast back into the gravy.

as a kid, I poured it out...as an adult, I keep adding cereal until it is all lapped up...

Have you ever as a kid slept over at a poor persons house and were freaked out? Like Hot dogs in the Red sauce or red beans poor? Sugar and bread as a snack? Damn i would be one and done back then.
