Another game where Skene leaves after 6 IP, gives up 0 runs and has a 2 run lead, but ends up with a no decision. Also had 7 k & 0 bb. Unreal.

Skenes has a 2.82 ERA in games where he got a ND or a loss.
His era in his 10 wins is 0.74

Rarely do I want to see a former LSU guy leave their current team as much as I do Skenes. Currently Burrow is the only other guy even in the conversation for this.

Great achievememt by Skenes, but I have to go with Mondo: gold medal winner in the last two Olympics, and set 18 world records over the last 5 years. He is the most dominate athlete in any track and field event now amd it's not even close..

Hard to root for Mondo when he decided to use LSU as a platform to betray his country! He couldve been one of the greatest Louisianamals ever but decided to throw it all away in my eyes when he became a trator! Give me Skenes all day, he may be an honerary Louisianamal but at least he is a PROUD American!

But the post said "the best run any an LSU athlete ever". It did not say "the most patriotic...".
And I am pulling for Skenes more than Mondo, but you can't argue against facts. Hell, after thinking about it, I might go with Pete Maravich, who lead the NBA in scoring for several seasons.

That number needs context. He's set 18 world records...by design. He gets $100k every time he breaks the record. Therefore, he (smartly) breaks the record by incrementally small amounts on purpose. He could have long ago reached the current WR. But why hit that mark once and earn only $100k when you can get to it centimeter by centimeter and earn over $1M doing so?
Plus, there are probably more great baseball players than pole vaulter world-wide. There aren't that many professional pole vaulters. Also, no one is playing "defense" against Mondo. The best hitter in the world are trying to beat Skenes and they consistently can't do it.

There is no management. They are awful, they have zero intention of building a winner. Skenes will be traded, there is no telling what he will be paid, it will be a MLB record. He will sign a 7-10 year deal worth 50 million a year.
