He didn’t even play high school basketball. He was his high school bball team manager at a private school in Nashville.

While this is a curious side note, it doesn’t indicate if he can coach or not. Clearly, he’s had a far more successful career in coaching than every high school player on the team where he was manager!
The trope that NCAA women’s basketball is more popular than college baseball is tiresome. Markets indicate popularity. LSU baseball generated 4x the revenue of the women’s basketball team in 2024 (over $10 mil vs $2.5 mil).

If women’s basketball was more popular, its revenue wouldn’t be 25% of baseball. Instead, it would be able to demand & generated more revenue. It can’t.

Markets aren’t wrong.

Another game where Skene leaves after 6 IP, gives up 0 runs and has a 2 run lead, but ends up with a no decision. Also had 7 k & 0 bb. Unreal.
THIS. The inconsistency of determining what is a catch is what is so frustrating. Why is it a catch/fumble for Sharp (who barely moved with the ball), but an incomplete pass for Brown who took two full steps, and hit the ground on the third step?

The rule of a catch should be applied consistently, regardless of where on the field the catch is made. As OP implies, I'm confident that Brown's situation would have been ruled a catch in the open field, but the zebras are obsessed with the catch "surviving the fall" in the endzone, regardless of how many steps the receiver makes after the catch.
